League of Legends: Ashe-Warmother

I first discovered this on Comixology, and having never played League of Legends,(or any online game) i wasn't sure what to expect. It really exceeded my expectations! Hooked me in immediately. Great story, great characters, amazing artwork. It works on all levels. It has plenty of action intercut with genuinely wrenching emotional turns as the title character Ashe discovers who she is in the world and what it means to be an Iceborn,(and what the costs are that come with it). The art is dynamic, the acting is great. Well worth picking up even if you haven't played the game. Really glad Marvel brought it out as a trade!

What a great story! I love Ashe's journey and her struggle in this book. I do wish we had more Maalcrom but alas it was not meant to be. I hope LOL will continue and make more content like this. I've been following it online but the TPB is so worth the wait!! The extra content is really cool and I love the back story of how this series came to be. Great job by Odin Shafer and the whole team.

I'm not sure which I liked the most, the story or the artwork, both were fantastic. I also liked that the women were believable, interesting characters. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the excellent quality of the printing, maybe that's because it's the first of it's kind for League of Legends.

First off, I want to point out about the shipping of this comic book. It was a little damaged on the back and the top edge is a bit dented. I wish it was more well taken care of than just being slipped into an envelope bubbled package. Hopefully my next comic book order doesn't suffer like that.So the book itself. It's great! I love it! The cover and the back is glossy and smooth, the pages is full of very nice artwork. I love the story and I enjoyed it. It has some pages of how the comic was done like the story and the characters. Concept drawings and such. So you're getting more bang for your buck out of this, especially if you're a fan of the game, League of Legends. Also especially if you're a fan of the game character, Ashe. It's understandable that Riot Games are showcasing and giving more in-depth lore of one of the most free-to-play PC games out there, that is League of Legends. A graphic novel of Lux will be coming out this Fall and I'm looking forward to picking my own copy of that! You can pretty much read Ashe: Warmother for free online at their official website but you can never be too wrong to own a physical copy of the comic book, in-hand, to rather get that feel of reading a comic book the old fashioned way.

I love the lore of Runeterra and these comics are a great way to expand it. Ashe is my fav champion so I really enjoyed this story!

I didn't know what to expect from this comic, but I am a huge League of Legends fan and love collecting stuff so I thought it would be fun to get all of the comics they publish with Marvel (This is an awesome partnership). I have read the whole comic multiple times now and can't wait for more!

Was nice seeing 2 league characters together but it was just kinda eh. The art was more sketch looking with mild detail. Story was decent and again it was nice seeing characters from League so its worth a buy. Plus its cheap af so just get it.

The art work is top of the line, with engaging portrayals of a young Ashe and a young Sejuani. The story is compelling, and as you might imagine, is about mothers and daughters (and granddaughters), and friends who become rivals. Extras include commentary by the artist, character concept art, a "Behind the Pages" section with panel-by-panel story and captions for the opening pages, and a story by the author, written at the time of the game's reset in 2014. It's set in Freljord, too.Any LoL fan, and any high fantasy comics fan, should like this book — a lot.

Honestly surprised with the quality of the pages and with how vibrant the colors are. The comic is great and has neat extra stuff at the end and such, didn't know that this was published by Marvel. Very nice.

I love it so much !!! The pages are quite thin so they can break quite easly, but appart from that the quality is insanely good and if you're into League's lore,get it !!!

Love that they have comics. Waiting for Lux edition now and will be collecting from then on.

I really enjoyed this book. It adds some much needed context and background to some of the league of legends characters and is very well written. The art work is beautiful and I honestly couldn't put this down till I finished reading it. Sadly, it's not very long but ideal for train journey or to kill an hour or so. I will definitely be reading the other league of legends books after this.
