impressed with the volume it pumps
Pumps the water up the small hill very fast and lots of water to the waterfall. Pleased with the action.

Pumping continuously since 2016
Wow, can't believe I purchased this pump back in 2016. Early this summer I was running it with out a bag and it got stuffed full of string algae. Easy enough to take apart and clean. It showed no wear on the impeller shaft or blades. It's back in the bag. It pushes water through a Tetra 2500 Bio mechanical filter, which I purchased at the same time.

Pumps it's ittle heart out
Seems like a quality pump. We have it in a little unfiltered duck pond to keep the water from being stagnant. so far feathers have stayed out of the pump and on the screen. I wish they didn't have that one screw to take the screen off.

Does what it says
I don't know about its longevity yet, but otherwise.... Price was right, runs quietly, delivers as promised in specs, is easy to mount and use. I like it.

Hopefull Durability
Just installed the Little Giant F-Series F40-5500 on April 13, 2021 so it's a little too early to give an accurate review - that said the pump is working. This replaced another Little Giant pump, 1/2HP model 10E (cast iron) and lasted 10 years, so I am hopeful this new pump will follow in durability. The new pump is rated for 5500GPH which by specs is greater than the old pump at 4800GPH but does not seem to have the quite the same output in actually application. It is, however, sufficient for my purposes of keeping my small 5 foot rise water fall flowing with adequate force and the price was somewhere between a third and half of what another 10E would have cost if I could have found one.

It works
I'm not really sure how to review a pump. I mean, it either works or it doesn't, right? This one is used to power a courtyard fountain, and sits about 10 ft away from the fountain itself in an irrigation control box. It is pretty straightforward--hook up the water, plug it in and it runs. I will say that it runs quietly and effectively. The box says it has a three year warranty, and hopefully this will hold up for that period or longer. We just moved into this house and the previous pump (exact same model) failed. Of course, I have no idea how long it was in service.Bottom line: pulled it out of the box, hooked it up, plugged it in and it works, nice and quiet. Key will be how long it holds up, but for now all is good.

Reliable, durable
The first one I received made noise but did not pump. The replacement works perfect. This is the third one of these pumps I've had. They seem to have a life expectancy of about 3 years of daily use (fountain). Theyare much better than the one's I used to use before.

Poor performance, built well.
Replaced prior pump - output much lower than advertised. Works well if you need just a little pressure.

A must read
The pump works great. The problem is, unlike the other pond pumps online, it doesn't come with any adaptors to hook up to existing plumbing. Most other pumps are 1 1/2", while this is 2". There are no adaptors online that I could find, and the company doesn't offer them. The hardware and local plumbing stores have no 2" female adaptor that I can use to reduce to my hose size. After trying to jury-rig an adaptor, I gave up and returned the unit.

Works like it should
Used this in my pond. Had it for 2 weeks now, working 24 hrs. a day. Pumps well and no hicups so far. For the price of it, they should include a hose adapter. Can't say how long it will work for but so far so good.

This little pump can push some water!
I use this water pump as a transfer pump for my house. It can pump off a 1000L tote in less than a couple minuets. It's awesome, fast and super quiet.
