MoenEva Oil Rubbed Bronze Posi-Temp Tub and Shower Trim Kit, Valve Required, T2133ORB

I love these products. They were originally installed when I purchased my home and decided to go with them again.

I have had Moen Eva Oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my master bath for 5 years and the finish remains beautiful and I have never had a problem with function. The tub spout drips after the shower turns off but only briefly. When I remodeled my guest bath recently I ordered the same style and color and they appear to be of the same high quality. Great price from Amazon. My plumber did comment that he did not think the threading on the stem and shower head were very well machined. He had some trouble getting them in place without a leak. This was not an issue with those installed 5 years earlier.

This was pretty easy to install. I’ve never done this swap before and it was pretty straight forward as long as you have the correct valve already. The tub spout is longer than my previous one, so that’ll take some getting used to, but I LOVE the shower handle. It’s sturdy and beautifully designed. I already hand an updated shower head, but this was still cheaper than buying just the tub spout and shower handle separately. I also went ahead and changed out the shower pipe and plate so everything is brand new.

We recently remodeled the bathroom and wanted to change the old chrome for brushed nickel and so we opted for this kit that was instantly switchable with the existing Moen hardware. The beauty of the kit is that only these trim pieces are changed and there is no need to cut out and solder the "guts" of the unit.The look is great, but the only drawback is that this finish does show water spots more than is typical unless wiped down. These spots are cosmetic and do not permanently stain, it's just a pain in the ...The color co-ordinates with our new Kohler shower door, and light fixture.

We didn't want to pay builder upgrade fees for Oil Rubbed Bronze, so we let them install the basic chrome finish and swapped those out for ORB later. It's quite easy to do - no wall cutting or plumbing involved, but the instructions are in pictograms that won't make sense unless you have some handyman background. The quality of the ORB finish is excellent, although you will need to be careful not to scratch the finish with a tool. The tub spout is much better than the chrome over plastic version, but as others have noted, the shower diverter doesn't seal 100%. That doesn't mean the tub drips when not in use though. Amazingly expensive, but nothing to do about that if you want to match the valve in the wall.

This set is solid. Look and feel is high quality. Cleans up nicely. Installs easily (I replaced other Moen fixtures). I had one problem with it that would not solve. I installed the shower head several times with varying thicknesses of tape, and it always dripped from the head and pipe connection. The wall pipe fitting is fine and doesn't leak, but this one just would not seal. It's a slow drip, so I left it, but would have preferred the perfection of no drip. The only reason why this is a 4 star; otherwise it would be a 5 star.

This is a nice looking Moen trim kit. Good shower head, and we like the tub spout as well. However, note that we had a older brass Moen shower set that we wanted to update on a house we just purchased (from mid-90's). Unfortunately, the round knob trim set did not fit on the older shower valve, so we had to get a universal fitted cover for that piece, which was an additional ~$70).

Absolutely love the quality of this product. Definitely worth the money. I have only used it for a few months but after a lifetime of using cheap shower fixtures I can absolutely tell this product is going to stand up to the test of time.My plumber installed them so I cant say how easy it was to install but I will say that the directions seemed a bit lacking. If this is your first time you will probably want to watch some videos first.

I've had this shower trim kit for almost two years now and I think it's excellent. The colour has remained true to its original self and the operation of the tap is very smooth.
