Active Minds - 301 Questions & Answers Kindergarten Activity Workbook - Math, Science, Language Arts and More!

My twins are still in preschool but love games, puzzles, mazes, etc. so I thought I'd give this a try as a learning activity. They absolutely LOVE this book! We do a page or two for each kid at dinner, no pressure, just as a fun activity. If we forget to bring the book to the dinner table, they go get it for us! They are really enjoying the challenge and showing my husband and I how smart they are. I love that there are both easy, moderate, and more difficult challenges on each page throughout the book. The easy ones get their confidence up so they are more enthusiastic on the difficult ones. Really good book, hopefully there are more editions of this for when we have completed this one!

It's a wonderful feeling to have my five year old ask if we can do his math book/questions. Some questions I found silly, like the one asking which month presidents day is in or something like that. But it really helped him to get what a rhyme is and to get him started on learning about money/coins.We didn't write the answers as he went through the Kindergarten book. This allowed us to go through the book again, as well as hand it down to my younger nephew.

Fairly simple questions that still get my 5yo thinking. She starts kindergarten next year, but I got this for her as a fun travel/summer holiday activity (we live in the southern hemisphere). The easy questions are a nice little win for her & are great for building her confidence. The harder questions get her thinking & I can see how happy she is with herself when she gets those right. Great buy!

I got the PreSchool, Kindergarten and 1st grade books. My kids LOVE them. They ask me daily to get out the school books. I have a 2yr old and 5 yr old. These are educational and its great that the kids like them and ask for them all by themselves. The binding is cheap and on 2 of the books (the only 2 we have used so far), it has broken and now if we fold over the answer side, the bottom of the books comes out of the spiral binding. So we use a blank paper to cover it which defeats the purpose of the spiral binding. :(

I ordered Brain Games for my Irish twins I'm homeschooling for kindergarten. Based on the number of pages (191), we need to do about 1-2 pages a day, the days we stay home to homeschool. This has been a great resource to warm up with before we start our homeschool session. For the pictures the girls can just point to, I have the other girl close their eyes so they can answer one at a time. Then we discuss the answers together.

This challenges really made my five year old think. Unfortunately he figured out (quickly) that the answers were on the next page. I had to explain to him that he wasn't supposed to mimic the answers, but figure it out himself. Once we got that concept down, he really exercised his brain! I'm not sure why the answers are so readily available, as other books we've used keep the answers in the back of the book.

The kids enjoy it, and the grandparents find it a fun thing to do with grandchildren.It's labeled Kindergarten, but some are ready for it before Kindergarten, and some after - even up to the 2nd graders.The spiral binding makes it easy to not see the answers until you open it to two page spread.

My three year old is really advanced so this book has been great! I also bought the preschool one which she enjoys too. I like the fact that there are some Spanish terms included so she can learn very basic terminology. I haven't owned the books very long but the binding seems fine. I think this book is more for a preschooler about to enter kindergarten because the questions seem a bit juvenile for a kindergartner.
