ECCOMen's Turn GTX Plain Toe Tie Shoe

This is right up there as the best shoe I've ever bought. Not onlybis it very comfortable but it looks fantastic too.The only downside is sizing. I am a standard UK 9 (have been for decades) and ordered the 9/9.5 UK which did not fit at all. I changed it for a UK 10 which did the job.Would I buy again? Absolutely! They are a bit pricey but worth it.

I replaced the insole with a thinner one and the shoe fits okay in combination with thin socks.

This is the second pair of these shose i’ve purchased, my first pair took a day or so to break in but are now very comfortable, but i loved them so much i lived and died in them at times, i’ve purchased this pair to wear on nights out, i only ever buy a second pair of the same shoes if the quality and comfort impress me, pricey but good quality shoes.

Looked great, lovely leather, but sole was too flimsy. I could feel details of the pavement surface too much. I had no confidence the sole would last.I have size 12 feet and weigh 98kg, so the mechanics of how the sole worked for me were very different compared to owners who are lighter or have smaller feet. I wish manufacturers would make correspondingly tougher/thicker soles for larger sized shoes - especially ECCO, who tout themselves as experts in biomechanics.I think this shoe will be fine for most people, but I'd advise caution for those who are heavier and/or have larger feet.

First the shoes look great but unfortunately i cannot recommend as they are, in my opinion far from true to size.I purchased a size 9/9.5 and normally wear 8.5-9 so figured this would give me extra room as i dislike overly tight shoes. Sadly I couldn't be more wrong. The Internal length is possibly acceptable but it is the 'bridge' area ( the area after the toes which is far too narrow to allow a foot in) of the shoe that is so tight and small that it was impossible to get my feet in. I'm not sure even size 10 or 10.5 would fit as they would gain length but the tightness stopping foot entry would probably still be an issue.

Fits just a fraction smaller than most (I went up half a size and it was perfect).The fit around the heel feels a little... odd, at first. Loose perhaps, like it's going to fall off.However, having worn for a few months now, I think these are some of the nicest shoes I've owned. Extremely comfortable. They never slip off. The leather is supple yet durable. And they're waterproof.The way they are going so far, I will definitely buy them again.

Purchased my pair in 2018. It's now 2024 and they are still going strong. Started out using them as my winter boots for when not too much snow had accumulated. Now I use them in the summertime too because they're so easy to slip on and off. Exchanged my first pair with no problems because the sizing was a little larger than typical.

I'm a 12.5 and ordered the 12-12.5 and it was way too tight. Can't order the larger size because they're out. Beautiful shoe otherwise.

These are like dressy, classy Merrils. They have a great look and a great feel. They look like they’ll last a long time but too new to tell. So far I highly recommend.

Between me and my husband, we’ve easily purchased this shoe, in several colors, at least 10 times! It’s made with Gortex so it’s stain and water resistant, and each pair lasts for many years. Just use a med/soft shoe brush or toothbrush to occasionally clean them. I bought a “nubuck cleaning kit” that has a brush and an “eraser”, and it works like a charm!The style is a classic, and can worn with so many different things. Can be fairly dressy like with slacks and a sport coat, or super casual. They’re probably the most versatile and certainly some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned.Sadly, (and I hope I’m wrong!) the last time I tried to purchase a new pair, I had an extremely difficult time finding them. After searching Amazon, I went to us.ecco.com and couldn’t find them there either. I wrote ecco and was told the shoes were being disconnected! I periodically watched Amazon and found a couple of pairs. I got them on Amazon US but they shipped from the UK at nearly $200 per pair. Even at that price I was happy to find them, and bought them immediately!If you love these shoes, write or call ecco and ask for them to be brought back!
