Easy to gollow instructions

I bought this book for my husband, he loves to carve Santas. Beautiful ideas and patterns with detailed instructions for Santas, reindeer, trees, angels. Figurines, ornaments and more.

As a beginner for wood craving the project’s are fun to see if you can get close to the ones shown.

I am new to carving and I like all the patterns in this book. I am disappointed that they were not more step by step illustrations for more of the items. It will be a while before I can tackle some of these projects as they are quite involved. I like the variety of projects shown but many of them are for a more experienced carver. I hope to get to the point where they will be easier for me to handle.

Purchased this for a friend for Christmas. LIttle did I know, I'd struck the woodcarvers' GOLD! My friend was thrilled that I "knew" to purchase this particular book. Seems it's a collection of "good stuff" from magazines that woodcarvers fight over at the news stands. She rates this book a FIVE!!!

This book includes a variety of patterns and illustrations for different levels of carving. For someone interested in carving for Christmas, certainly recommend.

Amazon does a good job showing you what is in the book. The book has simple patterns for beginners, and complicated patterns for advanced whittlers. There are detailed instructions on how to carve each figure. Great looking Christmas themed figures.

Understandable, doable projects that are well themed. It's worth a look.

Brilliant range of Christmas carving. I love that there’s not just figurines, there’s hanging decs, pencils, pegs, so many different things. Some do require tools we don’t own yet which is the only reason I knocked a star off. Beautiful quality and quite a large book too!

Excellent, many great ideas. I even made a new decoration for the top of a Christmas tree this year from a pattern out of the book. easy to follow, but also a great book for people with advanced skills.
