great set for this type of work
This tool works great. I read some of the reviews and if you use it right it works. first of all the guy with bent valves and timing problems you need to remove the spark plugs and rotate it 2 revolutions by hand first second if you broke it you are a duma never put excess strain on a tool with out checking for problems. watch the video if this is your first time. the crank tool will get you where the crank needs to be but first remove all of the cam followers so nothing hits valves. watch video if you are not aware how no clearance engine works. anyway I been in the auto business for 47 years and I like this product and it works if you follow the ford manual for procedure and follow the exact procedure. but then you don't need to because you know everything haha. just kidding

Good product
Performed the job, had to drill about 3/16 out of the inside of the cap on the valve spring compressor to make it work.

ruined two valves and cost me a lot of money.
Pretty frustrated with this one. I used the crankshaft positioning tool to line up my 2007 5.4 3v engine. After lining it up with this tool, the engine was out of time enough that it sounded like one cylinder was open while turning it over. Heard pretty good ticking and then a little grinding before shutting it off. Could not for the life of me figure it out how I screwed up the timing. Thought I did everything right. After pulling the heads and finding two bent valves (exhaust #4 and Intake #8) I knew something major went wrong. Took me a while to figure it out. The crankshaft positioning tool is about 10 degrees off. How do I know?I lined the engine up again Top Dead Center and checked the piston, crank position and slid on the harmonic balancer to check its mark. Right on the mark. Then slid on the tool in the above pic and found it slid on directly underneath the stud. Not even close. As a result, I bought 2 new valves, 2 head gaskets, 2 exhaust manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold bolts and the list goes on.I would NOT recommend using the crankshaft positioning tool unless you have money to burn. I will be returning it and make sure they get an ear full.To be fair, the spring compressor tool is invaluable. I used it to install 24 valves twice and though it did bend every 5th valve, I was able to bend it back into place easily. Also, the cam phaser lockout tool worked great too. Didn't need the cheese wedge thing.

Pay cheep get cheep. But still get thr job done.
Tools were cheep. I got what I paid for. The valve tool was a little wanky but I just spent a little extra effort to keep it square with the valve spring. I did have to bend it back in shape a few times beeing careful not to break. The crank timing tool did not fit over post make sure you center the post tip in the hole you should be good. I mean for the price what would you expect. It worked. I didn't trust thr crank bolt. I baught ford for that.

Did not work out of the box and eventually bent
This Spring compressor tool is not designed to work on 3v heads out of the box. I ended up using a screw with 2 nuts and a washer to be able to thread the handle on the tool and still push the exhaust valves down enough to remove the followers. Since I have never done this task again it burnt a few hours figuring out the tool was not correct and not my methods. The Tool bent 1/2 way through the job, I bent it back but do not trust the tool to not bend and break next time- leaving me fishing metal out of who knows where. This makes this package not worth chancing your time on.The phaser holder works as advertisedThe crank position tool works as advertisedI did not use the wedge since I pulled the front cover for a new Melling m360hv and did not bother with with no name torque to yield bolt and bought a genuine ford bolt.
