Fresh Sapodilla (Nispero) 3lb

Beautiful fruits and perfectly ripe. If I am not mistaken, it seemed like two cultivars were shipped (half the fruit were small like raquetball sized and the other half were larger like baseball sized). The smaller ones had the classic sapodilla flavor and the larger ones had a slightly reddish interior with a subtle (indescribable) tropical flavor along with the sapodilla flavor. Both were excellent and enjoyable!

Really bad - I am disappointed! These were delivered to me a week ago and I was so excited - eight in the box. But one week later I have five left and they are as hard as nails with hope that they will ripen. I believe they were not mature when reaped, because the three that I cut were, each, inconsistently hard and soft, as well as a spongy texture. I called Amazon today and offered to return the remaining five fruit - I am sure they will get back to them still hard and unpalatable. They contacted the sellers and I am awaiting their response. They can send me good quality fruit or refund my money - I am okay with either. Nevertheless, my palate has taken a hit, because I was really looking forward to these tropical fruits to take some of the bite out of my current wintery New York existence.

--but I just wish it had all gotten here in one piece! The box came wrapped in multiple plastic bags, and my mail carrier informed me that "the damn thing's leaking so they wrapped it up." Inquiring further, she "guesses it got dropped somewhere along the way." Looking beneath the box, a shallow puddle of fluid had pooled in the bottom of the innermost bag, and the cardboard on 3 sides was absolutely soaked. The box was so wet it literally crumbled apart in my hands as I opened it. I had ordered a few different items with this order, but it was the sapodillas that suffered most of the damage, covering the rest of my order's contents with sticky, syrupy juice and the sugary, malty smell these ripe fruit have. Despite the post office dropping and damaging the box and fruit, it should be noted that the few surviving fruit are awesome and the seller is spectacular. I have ordered other things from them a few times recently, and they continually send me extra fruit or throw in a freebie along with a hand-written note to show they appreciate my business. I know of no other seller that is this friendly or professional, and it always makes me feel special ordering from them. I also love that they send fruit in varying degrees of ripeness--some perfectly ripe to consume immediately, others unripe to enjoy later. Keep up the good work, and hopefully my next order won't be destroyed before I get it!

I received approximately six pieces of fruit. Two of the pieces were very good, the rest was mushy and uneatable.

These organic sapodilla are amazing! They arrived very ripe and ready to eat. So sweet, soft and custardy - exactly like the ones I had growing up in a tropical country in southeast asia. So happy I found them in Amazon. My local Asian grocery store (a very large one too) doesn't stock them.

I liked them,but a few were under ripe,hard and never softened.They were fairly dry when cut open.The ones that were ripe,tasted very good.

The fruit arrived within a few days and in perfect condition. Some had to be softened, but after standing a few days, all were excellent tasting. The taste of course is different from all other common fruit but is well worth experiencing the taste. I highly recommend it.

This item is horrible they picked young sapodillas and selling it which can get you sick and when you tell them about the product they are trying to tell you nothing is wrong. Do not buy their sapodillas.The skin of the sapodilla is hard like maumre skin I’m West Indian I know my fruit can’t try to sell me trash and expect me to accept.Terrible service don’t buy.
