Excellent read because it is a true story and reveals the sovereignty of God in our lives. God reads the heart and responds accordingly. No matter where one is; no matter what ones circumstances. Our constraints and limitations are no restriction to the almighty, sovereign, God of the universe who condescends to come to us personally, intimately, lovingly and all powerfully, as He reads our hearts and not our words..... God is real and this story reveals Him in the life of one who is seeking the truth without really even knowing the God she seeks.

This book is an excellent testimony of one woman's spiritual journey from Islam to Christianity. Gulshan Esther is from a prominent fundamentalist Muslim family in Pakistan; her family is actually descended from the prophet Mohammed! Passionately in search of healing from her paralysis and crippled state, Esther embarks upn a search for God that leads her to Jesus. Without a preacher and without even a Bible, she finds Jesus and surrenders her life to Him. The book does an excellent job of describing her Islamic upbringing and her Islamic worldview in a very sensitive way. The testimony is completely AWESOME and blows up the little box that we so often put our awesome God in. I was inspired by this woman's undying devotion to God. You won't want to put the book down and you'll be telling all your friends about it!

When I saw this book I was atonished. I read it in one night, more or less 5 hours! This is something that the Lord wants to teach to us: obedience, incondicional obedience! On that time, I was experencing obeing to the Lord always! So, as other people said, our God is so big that He can take out someone from the darkness whereever that someone is and I believe even greatest miracles are to come! yes they are! All the world will see the glory of the Lord in a tremendous way and all peopkle will knee before HIM!!!! This glorious book is only the beginning of a eternal and infinite wawsome adventure!! May the Lord Jesus Christ bless Gulshan Esther and us! Amen!

Another book that is hard to put down until finished. Great to know that she became a Christian by reading the Koran. We have a lot in common in addition to points of disagreement that exist in most religions and political viewpoints. We should discuss our points of agreement more often and try to resolve the others by discussion.

Excellent book, really interesting insight into another culture.
