Jungle Dawn 13 Watt LED Terrarium Light Bulb

This is a fantastic vivarium light— don’t buy the cheaper Pangea Vivbright bulb.On my 10 gallon Varian set up, I was previously using a different brand bulb, the Pangea vivbright, here on amazon. The difference between that Light and the jungle dawn light is substantial— well worth the $10 price increase.**July 30th update***Ordered a second one for my other Viv. Within a week of use, my plants are showing reds and deep greens. My bromeliads had the turned dull green with the old Pangea light I was using. Thanks jungle dawn for making a quality product.Benefits :For one, this blub gives off a soft white color, where the other brand gave off an artificial blue-ish colored light. Second, the bulb is much brighter, it has restored some of the deep red colors in a few of my plants that had previously disappeared in both bromeliads and some vining plants of mine. It is quite literally bringing my plants back to life.3rd: the bulb hasn’t dimmed over time like Pangea Vivbrigt has.In short, pay the extra 10 bucks if you want your plants to thrive and to have a naturally soft white color in your vivarium.

The lights are natural light! They mimic a rainforest lighting or the light from an outdoore area. This gives off more off a natural white. Not an icky yellow UVB light. This gives slight UVA but not the overpowering UVB which reptiles need. This is more for Dart Frogs and lower light Species of pets. This gives off some heat but only makes my 28 gallon 18×20×20 tank only 2 degrees F hotter which is not bad! Get these LEDs and you will have healthy growing plants! My Dart Frogs Love these lights!

This bulb is definitely helping to bulk up the plants in my bioactive chameleon cage! Things were slowly growing before this with a big empty area in the middle of the cage. With this, the hole is definitely filling in. Eventually will be upgrading to the big light bar, but this will get us by until then!

Vivarium tank light works great

I ordered 3 for a planted snake tank, within a month 1 blew out and fried the light board. The other 2 are doing well and holding strong but for the price of each bulb I’d go with Joshes Frogs version. Theirs are brighter and I’ve had 5/5 that I’ve order from JF for over 4 years now without any issues.

Definitely get one

Right off the bat I notice the leds aren't covered in any way at that price I expect this this to be almost submersible (not really) but if it's got vivarium or piladrium labels on it I feel like it should be pretty water resistant. I'm going to use it because my light hood is mostly protected but it's nothing like the one I purchased from a pet store that has since been unable to get ahold of new stock. The build itself feels solid, has a vent of some sort hopefully to help with airflow and looks like aluminum casing. Looking at the old one (lugarti brand) they're almost identical just without the led shield so I'm going for it. Decent light coverage on my snake enclosure so far so good. Will update if garbage.
