Working perfect right out of box. Exceptional value. Fixed my 15 years old carb on my fifteen year old echo that was continuously flooding. SRM225. Perfect fit. Proper gaskets and fuel lines. Spare parts that I will be able to use eventually too. I expected that I might have to fine tune the high speed carb setting, but it was perfect right out of box. Follow up review: it's not the carb settings; Check the gas tank breather. So I started having problems like I read on other reviews. It's the breather not allowing enough air in the tank. If you start bogging out at full throttle after several minutes try this; loosen your gas cap and try again. If you get another few minutes of good open throttle check your breather hose and the white valve on the end.

installed net carb and started right up great replacement

This inexpensive little carb was delivered and installed 10 minutes later. Forgot to adjust the heights for the hoses in the grommet and installing the grommet took longer than the carb. Fired right up and I actually did not have to set low or high. Well worth the minimum dollars for this item. Came with extra bulbs and a spark plug too. Nice little investment here.

I have a very old (10+ years) Echo SRM-225 string trimmer that developed a serious carburetor issue and would not start. I purchased this HOODEL repair kit. I first replaced my spark plug with the one from the kit. I then installed the replacement carburetor. The carburetor assembly was easy to install. I did not even have to adjust anything. After installing the new spark plug and carburetor I was able to get my SRM-225 up and running again. Note: I am very happy with my purchase. The only annoyance was the fact that I had to re-use one of my carburetor gaskets because the ones provided did not match well. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this kit.

Takes 5 minutes to install, no adjustment needed. My Echo GT-225 is back in business again. Comes with 2 air filters and a new spark plug, you can't beat it.
