The BEST capo - American Made!!!
This is not my first capo or my first Kyser capo. I have tried many different brands and styles and this one outperforms and outlasts the others. Quick and easy fret changes with this capo make it worth it's weight in gold. Don't be fooled into thinking that the cheap Chinese copies are good - The springs are weak and the capos are poorly constructed. Here is the best part - These are made in the USA and are backed by an awesome warranty. I have at least one in each guitar case - 6 string model and 12 string model.

Love the Product & Price
Can't beat this capo for the price. They changed this model once where the top arm of the clamp was ribbed/wavy on the outside surface. I was looking for the flat surface so I could get it engraved for my boycriend for Christmas, and this was it. So happy they either changed it back or Amazon had thd old model.Works great and looks great. The colored ones have a coating that Things Remembered would not engrave for fear of chipping (reminds me of an M&M), but the silver one is perfect.

This is the best capo!!!
I had a cheap no-name capo with the kyser design but it wasn't a kyser. I bought this one and it is worth every penny! The Kyser capo is EXTREMELY easy to clamp and has good ergonomics. It holds the strings down really well and doesn't mess up or scratch your guitar. This is by far the best capo on the market!

Great quality and cool looking!
I purchased this capo for my teenage son who's learning guitar. He originally wanted the black color but I showed him the other colors available and he got excited that it came in the silver color. He loves playing guitar and after getting this capo, he's even more enthusiastic about playing. It's so easy to use and very well made. Just squeeze to clip on and off.

Great working tool
I bought one of these in 1994. I used the capo for many thousands of hours and was not easy on the capo. After using for 18 years, abusing it with many drops, leaving it clipped on guitar almost all the time, and using it on both electric and acoustic guitars of multiple price points and brands, it was still working great even when I decided to replace it really just to have a different color. I can't tell that the new ones are made any different so I hope to have many more years of play...especially if I take care of it.

INTERFERES LESS WITH PLAYING
I have a regular capo but found that whenever I had the capo on the fifth fret or higher the capo clamp would get in the way of my hand forming chords. The design of this capo is great because the grip part is ABOVE the fretboard rather than below it thus staying away from your hand. Yes, it does cost a lot more than a regular capo but if you regularly capo it's well worth the money. Like other reviewers said, it is a bit harder to squeeze to open than other capos but I didn't find it particularly difficult.

love it!
i had a gin dunlop capo before i bought this one. and as you can understand i wouldnt buy if the first one wasnt that lame. only now when i got Kyser i understand that even when was new my first capo never really did the work properly - it made my guitar sound not tuned . but Kyser is something else. its like a bite of alligator - very strong , strings have no choice but sound very clear. =] i like it very much. maybe there is something better there in the market of capos. but this is good to me.

The best
I bought this capo on the recommendation from a professional musician. They are made in Texas USA and are very solid. One handed operation makes it simple and easy to use. In recent years, have won 'players choice' gold awards. Suitable for both acoustic and electric guitars. (I have an electric Ibanez rg series 370, Fender Telecaster American standard, and acoustic Yamaha 730S) and it serves all brilliantly. It is NOT made of cheap plastic or fabric? like some, but is very substantial, (metal?); should last a lifetime with care (that's if you don't lose it or someone decides it is better on their guitar than yours). I believe you can even get replaceable rubber grips from the manufacturer. Not the cheapest, but from my limited experience the best available. In my opinion you get what you pay for, and there are some poor quality capo's out there, so do yourself a favour and buy a Kyser. I do not think you will be disappointed.Overall, extremely impressed.[ASIN:B0013HC0I4 Kyser Quick Change Capo in silver]

Excellent but.....
Really well made piece of equipment, I have no doubt it will last a long, long time. No fret buzz at all and not likely to budge once you put it in place.HOWEVER - for me it will be of limited use, I have to use light gauge strings and my frets are quite high so the tight grip of the capo puts my instrument ( a Martin ) out of tune as the pitch is raised too far. For the home recording I do it will be perfect because I can retune first and then play without fear of buzz.My old capo has quite a light grip in comparison but can produce fret buzz if I'm not very careful however it doesn't affect intonation. I'm really looking for a capo that I can move mid song for a key change so I'll have to buy another, but my nice new Kyser model certainly has a place in my kit.

Well worth the price
My fiance is a musician and having bought him many capos in the past, this is the only one worth buying! So many other have broken, lost tension, not applied even pressure ... the Kyser capos hold up to years of use.
