Take Note of What POSITIVE Reviewers Are Saying Here
I’m a guy who has been letting his hair grow out from the tired fade style that has only nurtured a deepening ennui. My hair is coarse, thick, and as it has grown longer it has cemented itself into a super highway of wacky flips and cowlicks nearly impossible to tame. Moira Rose might say I look like a disgruntled pelican emerging from a blustery tropical storm. Lately I’ve been Increasingly tempted to hack it all off and abandon my pursuit of resembling a horseback Disney prince who can remove his helmet and shake out long, smooth flowing locks of swoon-worthy hair *insert turn of the head and flirtatious eye wink here* that makes theater audiences cross their legs in hopes of staving off the need to urinate lest they miss even a flash of his on-screen splendor. Could this tube of goo be what keeps me on the pursuit of sporting longer hair that doesn’t frighten small children in the grocery store? Happy reviewers often shared a similar tip—use a small amount. As the good obedient guy I am, I listened, learned, and warmed up the shower to begin my transformation. I shampooed to color changing LED shower lights while carefully dancing around on my non-slip mat to the blaring greatest hits of ELO (highly recommended). Fast-forward to the moment my favorite oatmeal hued plushy towel slipped from my fingers onto the floor post a thorough hair drying and I bravely stepped up to the vanity where I met the unblinking gaze of the gilded tube of Brazilian Blowout Protective Thermal Straightening Balm. *Gulp* I steadied myself and squeezed an amount of the product equal to a healthy pea released from its pod into the palm of my hand. Well…no…maybe a touch larger…perhaps more a robust edamame bean. However you picture it, keep it on the small side of whatever product you might typically comb through your hair. The scent was extremely light, clean and fresh but ethereal and unobtrusive. It was easily massaged evenly my through my damp hair. It met my hairdryer like a new friend, with no resistance or hesitancy to submit. And, the process of drying my hair elapsed FAR faster than with any other styling product I’ve tried. Oh my! What IS this? Could it be my hair has finally met its soulmate? Let me end in a way that is acceptable to Amazon’s family-friendly platform. The result was totally satisfying. It left my hair so soft! The temptation it has been fighting to erode into coarse, frizzy, uncooperative elipses, has ended! Using a conservative squeeze of the balm leaves no greasy reside that others have mentioned. Nor did it leave my hair hopelessly pin straight and useless; it’s subtly wavy and caresses my head instead of jutting out like it did previously in some weird attempt to escape the orbit of my scalp. Oh yeah, baby, I’m looking forward to our next date. I believe we may have a beautiful future together and will live happily ever after. The end. *cue saccharin sweet, tweeting animated sparrows to drag down the red velvet theatre curtains*

Great product
I love this product!! I have thick hair and random curls in the underneath of my hair. I put a tiny bit of this product in the palm of my hands and lightly run my hands through those parts and the dry and straighten. It works perfect! And it is so smooth I love the way it feels. It also helps the static in my hair!!

Worth every penny and more
I love this and would never go without it. I have curly thick hair and the worse off brand brush blower. It makes my hair beautiful. It stays nice all day long and it often last more than 2 days.

Top of the Balms!
I've been looking at this product since August (2022) and then finally decided to purchase it. (I received it fast - same day ordering). I don't really write reviews, however, upon using this product, I was excited to! . I'm a white girl (mix of Italian and Norwegian), have predominately dry, thick, naturally wavy/curly hair, that is below my shoulders in length and cut in long layers. I have used many balms thru the years from Loreal to Redkin and all in between. My fave was the Loreal Smooth Intense Straight Perfecting Balm. (I love to use balms on my hair since my hair is dry and I like to straighten it most of the time - I find the consistency and textures are best for my hair). With the Loreal balm being discontinued, I was on a mission to find a new fave. I think I found it with this product! I would say that with this product it's more for a seasoned "balmer" user than a beginner. It comes out in a thick gel-like texture and then when you rub between your hands, it is sort of oily/greasy. For me this a great thing for my dryish texture and my consistent use of blow drying and flat ironing. I say for a beginner user of a hair balm like this, because of how concentrated it is and with it being an oily/greasy balm, start with a small or teeny amount and go from there as you style - I used it on towel-dried hair. I applied a quarter sized amount at first, blow dried my hair and then added a little more, combed thru, hit it with the dryer again on cool and then flat ironed. All in all it cut my drying experience by a few minutes, and I was amazed at how well it worked with just the hair dryer while using my hair brush. I didn't even need to use that much of the flat iron. Also, note, I didn't apply any other hair products like serums, mousse etc. (sometimes i do have to layer hair products to achieve my end results). I am so HAPPY with the end result: my hair came out so beautiful, shiny and healthy looking and to my happy surprise, very soft and flowy - not the stiffness or weight that some of the other products leave on my hair. I was just amazed and said to myself, 'why did I wait so long'! My blonde is lighter, shiny and healthy looking (I use loreal box dye). I feel with all being said, this product a winner for me!

Just Okay. Nice Scent, But Leaves Hair Sticky and Weighed Down
I’d say this product is just okay overall. The Brazilian Blowout Thermal Straightener does have a really nice scent, which I enjoyed while using it. However, the performance didn’t fully meet my expectations. One of the biggest issues is that you have to be very careful with how much product you apply. If you use even a little too much, it makes the hair feel sticky and gives it a wet, weighed-down look after straightening. Instead of that smooth, natural, bouncy finish, my hair looked flat and a bit greasy. I also noticed that it seemed to trigger my dandruff again, which was disappointing since I don’t usually have that problem unless a product irritates my scalp. Overall, while the fragrance is a plus, the results weren’t as natural or lightweight as I’d hoped, so I’m not sure I would repurchase.

A little goes a long way
This huge tube will probably last me a lifetime. A little really does go a long way, even with very long hair. Controls frizz and smooths out bar but doesn’t completely flatten it, even in my fine hair. Good stuff!
