My usual brand hiked their prices up by roughly 40% so I changed brand and just done some baking with it and it's fab, not a lot to say as it is much the same as my usual brand but cost a couple of quid less. No idea why brands think that a 40% price hike within 6 months isn't going to be noticied, it will and because it is so steep it actually drives customers away. This product is fab.

I am happy with the quality and the price tag. Just to mention, it was my belief that Organic Virgin Coconut Oil must have scent, but this one has no scent, and we realised it must be because it is not raw but refined.

An even better bulk price, than the now defunct Coconoil.It has a nice flavour, can be used to make butters with Coconut powder and other powders, including protein, and some solid oil pressed into an stubbornly raw gingival area seemed to help it to finally heal, I assume because of it's asserted anti-microbial nature. I also use some in hot drinks instead of dubious dairy products. Coconut Oil is apparently also a good oil for maintenance of some hardware, probably partly because of its 24C melting point.It is packaged inside what appears to be a plastic water bag, inside the plastic tub, I assume to provide a reliable seal for the contents. I decide it was best to progressively cut the top off the bag, inside the tub, to allow scooping out of the oil, with a Stainless Steel spoon or scoop, so avoid melting risks/hassle.If you do choose the try and melt the oil out of the plastic bag, I would suggest only heating it in a warm enough area or water bath, above 24C, but no warmer than about body temperature (37C), not hot water or steam, otherwise you increase the potential risk of heat degraded oil or the plastic bag tainting the oil.I have some large, screw-top, Glass Coconut Oil jars (safer than plastic), which I periodical refill from the tub, so that I can the avoid the hassle of handling the big tub often.

The oil obsorbs really well on to the skin. Instant visible improvement on skin appearance. Skin felt smooth and soft. Will buy again.

Tastes and smells great very similar to the one I have used before and is a lot cheaper 👍

Using a lot of coconut oil, I recently (end February 2022) purchased the big tub. I had noticed the mixed reviews but thought I’d hedge my bets and try it, accepting the risk of having the hassle to return it if it’s no good.I don’t consider myself a gourmet and never had an issue with any coconut oil I have tried before, but - oh boy - was I in for a surprise. Even the first smell and taste were rather off putting. But, being stubborn, I persevered and actually tried to drink the bullet coffee I’d made with the oil … but it was simply not possible. It started off not very nice but the aftertaste it left in my mouth gave me an idea what it would taste like to suck someone’s smelly feet. I don’t have the words to tell you how disgusting it was.I contacted the seller and had a very lovely and quick response, expressing their surprise and asking me to submit the batch details, which I did. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard anything since.The Amazon app is no help as it only says it’s not possible to request a return or refund of this item.I’ll try to update this review with whatever happens next, so watch the space …Update:The seller contacted me again and arranged return of the product at their cost. On the day it was picked up, I got my full refund.
