Looked for my specific KINDLE to get the right one, but it is a little disappointing.While the straps keep in place, you have to take the kindle out of the bottom left strap to access the charging port. There is a whole in the cover to access the power button, but does not line up to the button without moving the kindle over.It is sturdy and will probably last, so there's that.

The case works well, but the ribbed plastic coverings started peeling off almost immediately. I guess what do you expect for a sub $10 item.

Fit fine. Does block the on/off button but not that big of deal.

The case did not have an opening for the rear facing camera and the straps to hold the kindle in, cover the head phone jack and the power plug,I like the material for the cover.I would not recommend the cover for the new fire. I was happy withe the cover for my older kindle that did not have a camera.

Does not fit my kindle well and it is already falling apart

I purchased this cover for my Kindle Fire HD 7" knowing that it would probably not be great but praying that it would at least be functional. Unfortunately, I was disappointed from the moment I realized that the description lies. While it does *technically* fit the Kindle in the most vague sense, the straps that hold the Kindle in cover both the power button and the earphone jack, rendering the earphone jack totally useless and the power button highly difficult to use. And although there is a little hole that is presumably for the backward facing camera, it's in the wrong spot, missing the actual camera area by an inch - no amount of maneuvering makes it usable. I'm not sure what machine this case fits, but it isn't the Kindle Fire HD 7"Also, as you can see in my photo, after four days of VERY light use, the plastic covering has already begun to peel off . At this price, I wasn't expecting this to be high quality, but I did expect it to hold together for a little more than four days.If you're looking for a functional Kindle cover for a machine that you plan to use often, do not buy this cover. If you're okay with a cover that is cheap, poorly-made, and entirely non-functional, this is the cover for you.

This cover was perfect for my husband’s Kindle.
