I have many boards games and playing on a hard table surface results in cards and other game components sliding around. This game pad has two sides - one slick and one with more friction. I like the friction side because when I lay down a hand of cards they stay put. The mat comes with a carrying bag that keeps it clean and easy to store and transport.

For any kind of game that uses modular tiles instead of a singular board, this thing is wonderful. I use it with the grippy side up and it stops tiles from sliding around at all. In addition, it'll keep your table protected and soften the sound of rolling dice, if that's important to you. It seems pretty durable as well, it's gotten a lot of use in the few months since I bought it and shown no signs of wear. And it comes with a carrying bag which makes storage a little easier. Though it is a little pricey compared to some other similar products, it seems to be of higher build quality, and most importantly, doesn't have a big stupid logo of the company emblazoned on the front. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Great board game mat. Does what it should! If you haven't tried playing games on a mat it's a huge improvement IMHO. Makes picking up and arranging cards a breeze. Nice smooth surface for boards and bits Necessary? Absolutely not... Nice? Absolutely The only reason I replaced it was after many years of use and stains.

I got this mat because I keep my nails short which makes picking cards up off the table difficult, but with this on the table it’s very easy to move cards around and pick them up. Would recommend for any serious gamer.

Quality mat. The top layer shows no sign of it coming off of the neoprene. Yes, it will come wrinkled. This is probably due to how it is being stored in the warehouse (temperature changes can cause the material to get stuck in a shape). The wrinkles will come out over time and with use. You can even store it in its bag rolled up the wrong way to expedite this process.

This is a well built mat, (with sewn edges!) And I nice geometric pattern. I painted a black line 6" from each end with some cheap fabric paints to give myself a 24"square. It's perfectly visible when you want it and inconspicuous when you don't

This is everything I've been looking for! We like to play dice and dominos when we go to breweries - their tables aren't always the best for this. This works perfectly!

It is nice to have things that are not specific to a game, but can be used with any without having lines, boxes, or wild colors, just a good covering of table to play games on.

This is a fair price for a wonderful game mat. I have used it many times, with many games since my purchase. It is just the ticket, no distracting pictures or scenes, just a simple design with a black background. Protects board games and cards, it makes it easy to pick up those cards and cardboard cut outs easily and without damage to the cards or pieces. The sewn edge will add durability to the mat as well. The handy storage bag keeps it rolled up when not in use and easily hangs from a doorknob to store. Excellent product. I am more than happy with my purchase. THANK YOU!

I love the size of it, and the way cards play on it. I use it to play Marvel Champions 2-handed, and although a tight fit (best to use card holders to manage the hands of cards, and then it's perfect), it works great. holding up very well over a year of repeated plays.
