Transformers: Hunt for the Decepticons: Buddy Brawl (I Can Read: Level 2) Paperback – December 7, 2010

My six year old is starting 1st grade in the fall and I had him read this book this summer to keep up his reading skills. He loves Transformers, so knowing the names of the different characters did help (as the names can be a little tough for beginning readers). He struggled on a few words, but overall the vocabulary seemed appropriate for a level 2 reader. While the cover has a photo of the transformers the rest of the book is in a cartoon form. There are lots of Autobots and Decepticons and there is a battle. There was plenty of action and suspense, as far as a relatively short children's book goes. My son enjoyed reading this and was happy when the Decepticons ran off defeated at the end. Of course they weren't destroyed so it leaves plenty of opportunity for more books to read.

My son was never a good reader until i got him this style of books, now he reas everyday because he wants to.

Great book for kids that are starting to read. My son enjoyed reading the book (got it for him when he was 5) and still reads it. Good value.

My son loved this book. It was easy to read and the pictures were cartoonish, not too realistic which is good because he is 5. Very nice!

Bought this amongst other books from the same range as I thought they would make learning to read more fun and although they are quite good I feel they are too difficult for the level they are aimed at probably at least one year out and also as it is an American publication so some of the words are spelt in American English so can be a bit confusing for youngsters learning to read & spell and puts me off buying any more from this range

if your child likes superheroes,comic characters etc. and you want to get them into reading this is what you need.interesting,challenging with good illustrations and easy structure for a child to follow and stay motivated.cant recommend enough,worth every penny.

This book was in nothing of what I expected and in fact arrived with sticky mess on the front from possibly a child eating something and never wiped off.

Got my son some of these books as reward books for good behaviour. Because they are about something he likes he actually wants to read them. He's just finishing his first year of reception and can manage them with a little help.

This item was bought for my son for birthday. He absolutely loves transformers and has hardly put them down and price was rirght.
