Amazing add-on that I wish every car manufacturer included by default
First of all, I would like to thank Ms. Xia Melissa for her amazing customer support as she not only helped me to answer every and any questions I had about the dash-cam almost immediately but, also offered much more even after the purchase long after :). Thank you so much for the help and continued assistance. Now let's get to actual product. Let me start by giving a warning , IF YOUR CAR IS SHAKY OR IF YOUR REAR-VIEW MIRROR IS NOT AN OEM THEN, THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU. My car is almost 11 years old and the rear-view mirror was not the default one as such it causes the inside of the mirror to shake violently while driving but I will not deduct any star because it's entirely my fault, I should've done more research and asked Ms. Xia more.I suspect that the shaking is caused because the rear pads on the dash-cam are not touching the actual surface of the mirror in the rear-view mirror so once again, if you have a non-OEM rear-view mirror or one with a really think rounds, don't buy this product unless you can get used to the shaking like I did. Also, make sure you know how to dissemble your car parts otherwise you might end up dissembling a part that can't be put back later on especially for older cars and last but not least is that, due the size of the mirror and the front camera sliding out from the left side, it might interfere with opening and closing the sun visor so keep that in mind (I personally wasn't bothered by this that much though).Pros:- Wide angle and high quality footage at either 720 or 1080p for both the front and the rear (yes, the rear camera records at 1080p) at 30FPS. In fact, the rear camera seems to be higher quality than the front especially at night time. However, when recording, the rear camera ONLY displays the license plate in reverse but when reviewing the actual footage either from the mirror or pc, phone...etc, the license plate will be shown correctly and not in reverse. Just out to let you know if you find it bizarre when you first start the product.- Extremely gorgeous and provides so much viewing angle than your standard rear-view mirror.- Can be powered bank or any external source power to operate when your car is not on (you can also just put your car in ACC position for the dash cam to start working so you don't need to start the engine) and even has a monitoring feature that will turn on the mirror and start recording for 1 minute if motion is detected (the sensitivity is configurable in the setting menu) then turn off to save power- The menu is well organized and every option is easily accessible even while driving.- Clear view even on sunny days even though it would appear glary at first (it is a mirror first and foremost after all) when the screen is on but, because it has a mirror that displays a fixed stream, you can adjust it so that you can view it without much glare. It might personally annoy though so make sure to keep that in mind (I apologize I'm not able to provide a video or even a picture, I'm camera shy) but you can always turn off the screen with a click of a button or set enable "Time Saver" feature so that it automatically shuts off within 1 or 5 minutes and use it only at night if you wish to.- With the GPS unit connected (sold separately), the mirror stores as well as keep track of the car location while recording. Moreover, it also displays the speed in digits and even shows the direction be it West, North or East..etc!Cons:- There is only one if I to be honest which is, the installation. If you are not very familiar with your car, then like I said before, you might end up breaking or dismantling something that you shouldn't so please do your research before hand and make sure that you car has a place to install the camera in the rear (you could also take it to a shop for a professional installation, but where is the fun in that?)Overall, I'm fully satisfied with the product and do I wish it was even better? Yes I do but, I personally got what I paid for and the costumer support is amazing! Ms. Melissa's support alone is worth a star :).PS : feel free to ask any question about the product by contacting [email protected] or posting your question on this review, I'd be glad to answer any of your questions related to the product when I can but really, Ask for Ms. Xia Melissa in the e-mail mentioned above, she's awesome and have a nice day

Awesome Mirror Dash Cam! Far Better Than I Expected!
This Mirror Dash Cam is truly amazing! First off, I was very impressed with the packaging. It was packaged like a high end cell phone. And I'm happy to say that my first impressions have held up so far. This product is exactly what is described in the product description. It actually functions much better than I had expected! The picture front and back are great, the controls are easy and very responsive, and installation was easy. I also ordered the hard wire installation kit, 64 gb Micro SD card, and purchased a GPS antenna from another seller because none were available at the time through Pormido. From my research and experience, just about any GPS antenna will work as long as the plug matches. I use my Mirror Dash Cam as my full time rear view mirror. I like that I can see so much more of the road and traffic than I could before installing the Mirror Dash Cam. I had to turn down the G-Sensor sensitivity one step because I have a base box in my trunk and the vibrations and thumping kept making the Mirror Dash Cam lock my recordings as if I had been in an accident. At least I know the sensor is working! My only wish is that the Mirror Dash Cam was bigger! My stock rear view mirror in my Hyundai Genesis Coupe is enhanced with a larger mirror and buttons on the bottom for all the Hyundai Blue Link features, and built in garage door opener buttons. It is larger than the Pormido Mirror Dash Cam. So, I had to get somewhat creative to mount it. Because of the front dash camera, I had to offset the Mirror Dash Cam a little to the left which leaves about 1/2 inch of the original mirror visible on the right. And to keep from pressing the buttons on the stock mirror with the rubber mirror attachments, I had to slide the Pormido down, leaving about 1/4 inch of the original mirror visible across the top. Even with this size issue I just described, I still give the Pormido Mirror Dash Cam 5 stars! I'll just be keeping my eye open for a larger one in the future.

Simple Install - works great!
I installed this on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. For some reason, Jeep never even had a backup camera option available until the newer generation of Wranglers. On my previous Jeep, I had added a third party device and an aftermarket camera that enabled the backup option on the stereo display. Worked pretty good, but the low res of the display was underwhelming. Not to mention, that option was close to $300+ when all was said and done. When it came time to add a backup camera to my new Jeep, I noticed a new Cadillac Escalade and they had a digitial rear-view mirror, which got me thinking. A few clicks later, and I happened upong this mirror. Reviews were strong, the functionality was superior to just a back up camera, and best of all the price was a third or less of other options. I decided to give it a whirl. Glad I did. On a Jeep, the supplied wiring was long enough. Only thing I didn't like was that the wiring included does not include an option to hardwire - just a cigarette lighter plug. I ordered a kit on Amazon for about $15 that allowed me to tap into the fuse box and power the unit (you need one that steps down from 12v to 2-2.5 to power the camera). Once this was done, it looked clean and gave me back my cigarette lighter plug.Unit automatically powers up to the rear camera. I leave it on all the time and use it as a digital rear-view mirror. Does take a little getting used to, because it shows a wider field of view than a true mirror. Also, the brightness of the display is average - which is probably a good thing because it is not overwhleming while driving. Responsiveness of the touchscreen is superb. Recording of the front and rear cams in a nice plus. Also, the cameras are adjustable up and down utilizing the software. Pretty slick, imho.If you want my opinion, for the price, this is an amazing piece of kit. I can only imaging that a few years ago, something like this would have been exorbitantly priced. Buy it - you won't be disappointed.
