Should’ve went with barebones.
Tossed the (slow) HDD and 4gb RAM. Replaced with 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM. No complaints. I love the small form factor.

Good Things Come in Small Packages
I purchased one of these NUCs to run retro video games in a HyperSpin arcade cabinet and it handles everything I’ve thrown at it like a champ. My only gripes comes from Windows 10 insistence on resource-hogging maintenance programs that can’t seem to be disabled (no matter how many times I jump into the settings and disable auto-updates and Windows Defender). When you’re squeezing every last bit if performance out of a machine, you can’t have patch downloads or virus scanning taking 100% of your hard disk. The fans definitely make some noise (even when idling) but it never reaches GeForce 5900 Ultra levels of absurdity (see: a PS4 Pro, under heavy load, times 2).Games like Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Fall Guys, and Giana Sister: Twisted Fate (on Steam) run fine at medium-high settings (720p). I haven’t tried running shooters (which require flawless performance) due to this NUC powering a retro arcade machine, so I can’t give any feedback on that. The video card in this machine definitely pushes it ahead of other microITX PCs here on Amazon. I’m awaiting the release of a “NUC-killer” from Minisforum in October 2020 to see how it stacks up against this machine to see which will remain in my arcade cabinet. In the meantime, you can’t go wrong with this tiny powerhouse.

Slowest little PC EVER !
I bought this little NUC as strictly a streaming PC. I figured that the I 3 processor and 4GB of RAM would be sufficient for such a simple job. Boy was I wrong!1) The computer comes with Windows 10 Home Edition installed. Home edition allows the user to alter almost NOTHING of consequence, so you're basically stuck with all the bloatware and surveillance crap that Windows 10 has become so deservedly infamous for.2) With just 4GB of RAM, a little spinning rust hard drive, and the above-mentioned Windows 10 as its soul, this poor little door-stop struggled to even render a personalized desktop without crashing.3) Internet connection was painfully slow and stuttery. No, it wasn't my ISP's fault.4) Unlike two NUCs that I bought about a year ago to use as point of sale cash-registers, the RAM in this model is not up-gradable. You are stuck with 4GB of whatever cheapo brand is hard-wired into the motherboard.I finally ditched Windows 10, opened the little NUC up, ripped out the mechanical hard-drive, and installed an NVMe SSD (it does come with a slot for one). Lastly, I replaced Windows 10 with Linux Mint. I wish I could have up-graded the RAM as well, but...(see above). So far, it runs like a gazelle. The desktop looks great, and since all it has to do is render movies and ball-games, it does that. But I should have just bought a bare-bones NUC and installed all the guts myself. Be fore-warned.

Small
Works like it should. Don't let the numbers foold you. Even though the RAM and HD are high, the pc will lag even when not under stress. You neee atleast 8GB of RAM, because the pc will be using around 2 on idle. It does get the job done at the end of the day. It handles everyday task like docs, web surding, and youtube very well. There is a small buzzing noise which is quite noticible if you are close to it. All in all, if I wanted a gaming pc, I'd get something bigger like how it should be. I'd use this for small space and productive situations.
