Over 100 years ago, ALAGA Syrup Company found the secret formula for the “Sweetness of the South” when the original cane syrup recipe was created in 1906. ALAGA syrup was born out of love, and the “feeling of family” when a Georgia boy met and married an Alabama girl.

The kids have their syrup and now...so do I
I grew up with this syrup. Unfortunately most stores in the north do not carry it anymore. Even with the high price of the shipping, it's still cheaper per ounce than the 1 store in my area that carries it (Wegmans). I will not need more syrup for a very long time.If you've never had this syrup...It's taste is more flavorful but not as sweet as your Aunt Jemima or Log Cabin syrups (but still sweet). I can only describe it as a mature taste.
