Made out of lightweight metal. The hinge could have been stronger it's a bit on the flimsy side. The screw is average threading not smooth but not rough. Make sure not to cross threads or lose it because the thumbscrew is not attached to the door. Camera fits snug without clamp. Tighten it down and I think its solid enough to not worry.Seems good so why not 5 stars. It's ok quality with ok fit n finish. Mine came with the padding not glued all the way and some of it was not positioned right. There were already scratches or paint chipped off of it. The thumbscrew is not attached to the arm and can easily be dropped or lost.Now it's not bad and is a good way to mount the osmo pocket but this should be like $5.
