Weck 900 Tall Mold Jar - 1/5 Liter, Set of 6

I use these (in various sizes) for all leftovers and berries, etc. Love opening the fridge and seeing food in clean, clear glass instead of my old cloudy plastic containers and plastic clamshells from the grocery store. So much more appetizing/appealing and we've found less food waste as a result. Discovered these in Europe and each time I open the fridge I am reminded of that lovely trip... The smaller sizes stack a bit better than the larger sizes, but can nest various sizes to save cupboard space. Just throw it all (except the metal tabs) in the dishwasher to clean. Can also remove the tabs and rubber seal and serve food with just the glass lid for a better table presentation.

I’ve tried every kind of jar for my sourdough starter and this is my favorite. I only ever use 70g or less of starter so these jars are big enough. I like the small size because it makes them easy to handle and easy to clean. I like that they’re larger at the top. I like that the lids just sit on top with no screwing / unscrewing required. I like that they are thick glass and quite durable. My only beef with these jars is that the lip can be a little fussy to get clean.

These jars are perfect, I wanted to make overnight oats to grab and go for work mornings. Perfect size, they seal completely, now I want to find some for soups for lunch, just a tad bigger. Such an awesome product. I am not a canner nor to have any experience so can not attest to that. The clamps and the seal are a little arduous to deal with but if it seals and stays that way so worth it!

The jars seem durable. I like the look and feel of them. They’re easy to clean and the price was just right. I planned to use these for my sourdough starter and I should have bought a slightly larger jar, but I can use them for so many other things so I’m not too mad about that. What I am upset about is they arrived 5 days late! I actually ordered these because of the date they were set to arrive. I left town a few days after the “arrival” date and still they arrived 3 days later. I was going to use them to gift my starter to a few close friends. So, that was very disappointing.

I purchased these to hold a batch recipe (4) of overnight oats. The recipe doesn't fill to the rim, it leaves space to later add fruit. Because I'm not using them for canning purposes I put the lids on without the gasket. The clamps hold the lid firmly in place. These jars have a very nice look and since purchasing I have found they work well for other food applications. I would definitely recommend this product.

I'm looking forward to adding to my collection. They have a beautiful presentation on the counter for little candies or nuts. I also keep pickles in them in the fridge. So far I haven't used the gaskets or the clamps. I just set the lid on top, which fits nicely.

When I buy foods like salsa sold in plastic containers, I transfer the foods to these wonderful glass jars for healthier and more attractive storage. I write contents directly on the jar with a white or black sharpie. The sharpie ink washes off. The sea salt jar in the photo is the Weck #900 jar in this Amazon listing. Important, if gifting Weck jars, it is helpful to include an instructional card on how to use the clamps. I've taken food to friends & family in Weck jars, the they return the jar baffled on how to attach the lid. When the jars are returned, sometimes lids are upside down, clamps up side down, lids chipped. See pic for directions for using the clamps.

I liked the products very much so I bought three different sizes. I have no problem for the smaller ones. However, I found chippings on 3 lids out of 6 for 900. I can still use them but afraid that it might cut my fingers.

This size of jar is great for storing smaller quantities of Sourdough Starter, it cuts down on discards.

Son los mejores tarros para fermentar o guardar mermeladas, mayonesa hecha en casa, etc, mil usos tienen. El tamaño es chico, para pepinillos y mermeladas esta excelente el tamaño, en la foto a lado es una mandarina Clementina, para que se aprecie el tamaño. Los encontré a muy buen precio en diciembre 375 pesos el set de 6. Ojalá y los vuelva a encontrar asi!

Jars received were only 250ml not 500ml as advertised and ordered.

These are the perfect size for individual desserts! I need to buy more.
