Great Antler from a Great Company
I was looking for an alternative to raw hide bones for my Australian Shepherd. He's a very high energy dog that often needs to take out his energy through chewing. I've found that with raw hide bones he leaves gross chewed chunks throughout the house, he's more likely to choke on sharp broken off pieces, he can eat through those rather quickly, and they can cause him to vomit if he eats too much of it.After reading that antlers are a better alternative, I decided to give Pet Expertise's antlers a try. Long story short, I've ordered from them at least four times because I've been happy with their antlers. I've tried their medium, large, and x-large sizes. I'll probably stick to the x-large size because my dog can chew on that for about a month and a half until he's gotten down to a stub that's harder for him to hold and chew. He also gets border of this "old toy" around that time. When my dog chews it there are still pieces that come off, but they're more like shavings than the chunks you get with raw hide.I have not had an issue with leaving this out for him to chew when ever he wants. He's not vomited once after consuming it. He occasionally will get to aggressive with it and can cause some minor gum bleeding, but taking a day of time out from it seems to solve the problem (I've only had it happen once). The only real negative I've encountered with this antler is that there are variations in the shape or location of the cut. This was only an issue once when I ordered the large size. The cut was in a thicker softer portion of the antler (there were no "branches", just a log like object) which my dog was able to chew through much quicker.I would absolutely recommend getting your dog an antler if they like to chew on objects and I'd definitely recommend the antler from Pet Expertise.

Good for destructive chewers
Bought this a long time ago. My destructive dog chewed it for days trying to win a victory in her mind. She did not succeed. It frustrated her to the point where she left it alone for awhile-if she couldn't destroy it then she had no interest. She is as stubborn as I am though and she started up again on it and has it a little whittled down.My only complaint was I paid $16.75 for what was supposed to be "X-Large 8"-10" Long". I receive this tiny thing that was maybe 6 inches if I was being generous and measured from the length of the longer bowed side. I just rolled with it though as it was the first antler I'd ever bought and I was tired of spending loads on messy chew bones. I rated 4 stars just because of the durability of the product. I placed the order on March 17th and here on December 10th it still exists.I now see on the page the different sizes, the largest being 4"-7" @ $7.75. The small is $5.75 and 3"-5". So I could potentially order one for 5.75 and get a 5" antler, or I could spend $7.75 and get one smaller than one that costs $5.75. I don't know if it is just an error or what, but weird pricing followed by questionable sizes makes me think next time I will order from someone else.

For heavy chewers, there is absolutely NOTHING better.
I have three dogs. 2 medium size dogs (a standard poodle and doberman pincher with a heart condition that stunted her growth) and a 85lb doberman pincher puppy. After a family member mention these, I went out and bought a 'giant' one and 'small' one. Specifically for my 85 lb doberman he is just chalk full of energy! He has to always be chewing, running or playing. He chews on anything he can get his hands on, but the antler has done an amazing job of siating his chewing need/bordom. He chews on it every day and so far it barely looks warn. It's caused his gums to bleed a few times, but that usually means he's just strengthening them and keeping them healthy! They've cut off any 'sharp' parts, but keep in mind if you have a big strong dog, this thing can actually be a bit annoying/dangerous. Pretty much ANY tew toy (even Kongs) he destroys them quickly-- so far this has held up great. The only downside is that he's a big clumsy excited dog and will run around with the giant antler in his mouth... more than a few times he's slipped on our floors and crashed into the wall (put nice dents/scratches into it) Our wood floors are distressed, and he's most definitely adding to that distress :PHowever he just LOVES it and will chew on it for hours every day. As for as the smaller one, my two medium size dos also love theirs-- they will take turns chewing on it and seem to love it!

I never leave reviews!!!
listen i NEVER leave reviews. but if you’re like me and have an aggressive chewer on your hands and feel like NOTHING else lasts, buy this. i spent $30 on this and my 1 year old Pitbull has barely made a dent in it in over a week. he chews on it multiple times throughout the day and cant get through it. this thing is basically indestructible. if nothing else has worked for your dog, TRY THIS!

Ordered this twice - mixed reviews
We ordered one of these for our dog when he was just a puppy, and it lasted for months and our dog really really loved it. It would have lasted even longer, except someone told us to boil it in beef stock to keep it interesting for the dog, but when we did that it totally deteriorated the antler and he was able to really pick it apart fast. (So... never boil it!) The first one was a full antler - you could see where it was attached to the deer. I just ordered a replacement, and this one was sawed off of a bigger antler overall. This means it already has a "weak point" where the marrow is exposed, and my dog just latched onto that part and was able to really break it down quickly. He has it now split into two pieces, so we'll see how long that lasts - I don't anticipate this time it will last as long as last time. So... it's a mixed review because in terms of quality, you don't know what you'll get. But since my dog LOVES it, we'll give it a 4.

Pitbull loved it
Ordered the xl for my pit and she absolutely loves it, takes it everywhere she goes. Size wise it was about right on with measurements, having branches on it definitely helps. The price is a bit steep, but for a good quality chewing piece for her it’s worth it.
