Madpax Spiketus Rex Got Your Black Pint Size Backpack

Got this for my son when he started Kindergarten. It's the perfect size for his small build. The quality is really good, material is realistic (scale like) and leather feeling. It doesn't feel like cheap plastic. He is now in 2nd grade and it is still in almost perfect condition. I can see him using it for another 2-3 years with no problems. Only reason for us to change out backpacks is he has more things to carry for school and outgrowing the size of backpack.

I had already been debating on whether or not to switch to using a backpack due to both comfort and security concerns when my purse was stolen last month. Seeing that I was in need of a new bag, I decided to bite the bullet and order this little beauty as a replacement. So far, I am happy to report that I have no regrets!A bit about myself: I am a 20-something alternative female who enjoys tastefully edgy clothing and accessories made with practicality in mind. I also like taking all of my essentials with me wherever I go so I am prepared. I work in an office environment, so any accessories that are too bright or gaudy is a no go. However, this poses a problem when I want to go out to clubs or concerts. What happens when go out is I usually either have to place my normal bag in coat check or switch over to an inconveniently small bag for the night (No fun). Luckily for me, my worries are over as this bag fits in both environments!The Spiketus Rex Halfpack in "Got Your Black" is not too crazy, but still quirky enough to suit my tastes in a professional environment. It is big enough to carry the things I need, but not too big to be an inconvenience at social gatherings. The bag sits comfortably on my back and I feel like my belongings are much more secure than they ever were in a purse with its well assembled interior. And best of all, I enjoy the many compliments I receive while wearing it!That being said, the only possible problems I see with this bag are are as follows:- First off, there is only one pocket inside the bag; enough to hold my phone, keys, and some other small items. If there was one extra pocket big enough to hold a tablet or reasonably-sized book, this bag would be perfect!- As for the exterior, while it is not really a problem for me, I can imagine it could be a problem for someone who would might treat the bag very rough. The exterior is very smooth and soft, making it susceptible to scuffs and scratches if you are not careful. So, if you want this bag to look good for a very long time, I would not recommend it to someone who is very active and might possibly drop or toss this bag onto rough surfaces a regular basis.**Six Month Update**I'm still in love with this backpack and have changed my rating to five stars as it's carrying capacity has exceeded my initial expectations. In the time I have owned it, I have multiple occurrences of people stopping me just to ask where I got it; and that's not including the regular compliments! It continues to be comfortable and still looks fabulous while being worn. I enjoy it so much I've been debating on purchasing another one in a different color just to switch it up.

I have been longing for one of these packs for years after I saw a friend toting one around at a festival we were attending. Last week I finally caved in and treated myself to one and am so glad I did! I can carry my computer or iPad and still have room for my phone, wallet, water bottle, and small makeup bag. I definitely am satisfied :) Also, ordering this via amazon prime was e cheapest option when compared with other retailers and ebay.

Great bag. My son had his for a few years and he is a real boy and can be hard on some things. After three years, I gave this bag to his cousin to use for school and he still has it.

My kindergardener used this all year and was the talk of the school all year! Ever single day someone new would compliment his back pack. It is fun and durable. It still looks brand new. We washed it by hand several times and I am very impressed with the way it has held up!

I've gotten three of these backpacks in different colors for my grandsons and they were thrilled!!! They are pretty rough on things but these are so sturdy and built so well that we have not seen any wear yet and that in itself is a miracle! The kids at school were asking where to get these so it was popular and fun by the reactions they were getting!

My son absolutely loves his backpack...and it's definitely an attention magnet when we're out and about. People are forever asking where did we get it...all I can say is Amazon is the bomb!
