We just installed our hose reel over the week-end. Didn't want to make holes in our siding, so decided to put a 4x4 stake in ground and mount to it - worked great, and longest part was waiting for the cement to set up firmly to mount hose reel to it. Love the reel, easy to use - love the side to side movement it has, LOVE the retractability it has - works so nicely. Would definitely buy again.

I have had my hose reel for about a month now and I really enjoy the convenience of this hose and reel. Now that we are retired, it's much easier to pull out the hose as needed and let it retract. It beats cranking the hose back into a storage device. At the end of the season I lift the hose reel off of the 4X4 I attached it to and store the hose and reel in the basement until spring. The nozzle included is sufficient, but I prefer a more durable nozzle. So far the hose and reel have been a great addition to our household.

It's a very well designed piece of equipment, love the retractable hose, the length. What I dislike was the spray nozzle too small... spray cannot reach that far.....you can place a pad lock on the base for protection...you can also remove the unit from the bracket and store it.

Needed an automatic hose reel that would mount to the fence and pivot to various angles. This seems well made and the feature that sold me on it was the ability to replace the hose if that is ever necessary. Many reels I looked at do not allow that and the entire unit must be replaced if the hose fails. Haven’t used it much but thus far it works great.

This particular model could’ve been great. Love the metal mounting bracket as opposed to the plastic ones that most retractable hoses come with, and end up failing because of sheer weight. Pleasantly surprised to find brass fittings. It pulled out and retracted with no issue; HOWEVER, this is going back because the diameter of the hose prevents it from getting good, effective water flow. I suppose if you’re using it to water plants close by and prefer or don’t need the flow to be super strong, it could work for you. For my intended purposes, which is to wash off gunk that birds and other animals leave behind in my backyard, this is useless.

Installation was easy and works great. It stays out of the way and winds back up very easily. The hose is a smaller than normal, so I would be worried about leaks if it was stowed with the water pressure on.Installation instructions could use improvement for people that are not handy. They mention there there are two installation options: directly into a stud with the screws provided or insert the anchors into concrete then screw in, but then the step-by-step instructions are only for installing into concrete.

I installed this in my garage as i needed something that would wind up at an angle. this one goes 90 degrees so its perfect to pull out and wind up close to the wall (interior of garage). No leaks anywhere in first month so I assume good to go. Rewinds a little faster than slow, but manageable for sure and really winds nice thus far. Recommended

Uncoiling and recoiling 75 feet of 5/8 inch garden hose, even just once a day, gets a little tiresome after a few years, so I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to find and install one of these. I purposely chose the 1/2 inch hose, 75 foot length, since most of what I use this for is watering the garden and sprinklers, for which the flow rate is perfectly adequate, and the 1/2 inch hose is considerably lighter to handle. The mechanics of the reel work very well, no matter how much the hose is extended. I plan to get another one for the other end of the house. Note: the hose that come with the reel is NOT high quality, but at least if it does need to be replaced, the manufacturer has built the reel in such a way as to make the replacement fairly easy.
