Tamiya 78025 Japanese Battleship Yamato Model Kit

Arrived from Japan early and in good condition! Just wish US makers would put this much effort and detail into their models. Yes it is expensive! However, just looking at the instructions and the detail I believe this is a good 1-2 month project for me. Just what I wanted. Thank you, Tamiya! Hope this helps! Excellent product! I’m still in process of assembling this kit but it’s so much fun. I think Tamiya is the best company in the market for plastic kits. All parts are nicely finished and there’s no problem with fitting them. I recommend the seller! They shipped my package straight from Japan and it came just one week later. Much sooner then I expected. Highly recommended for all hobbyists and people interested in military history.

Just received the model and went thru the parts and instructions. No detail was left unattended, a simply beautiful replica. Can't wait to start building it, will fit well with my other Tamiya large scale ship models. Just wish Tamiya would expand their model offerings. For the attention to detail, worth every penny.

High quality kit. Good fitment and mold engineering, however lacks many smaller details for such an expensive piece, such as railings, some ladders, and many small intricate parts. Looks fantastic after adding a flyhawk or pontos kit. Will add photos when finished

The Best model kit. Don't recomend to beginners. There were some damages in some part(broken) but I fixed them with super glue. You need make lots of holes, so if you have small drill that would be very helpful. I added LED in the search lights. If you buy 3mm LED lamp they will fit very well with kit. It took me about 10 days to complete this kit. I enjoyed it very much!

possibly the best 1/350 scale ship out there, definitly tamiya's best ship ever. wouldn't buy if you want to make it into RC or anything, but it's level of detail is great for dioramas or just a simple "sit on the shelf" project. the booklets it comes with are also great, and shed alot of light that is hard to find on the ship! 10/10

This is what I believe to be Tamiya's best-ever plastic model. Considering the quality of Tamiya kits, that is saying a lot. They had an earlier version of the Yamato, but this kit is an entirely new kit (not a retool) based on new information recently unveiled. I am still researching the subject (aided by "The Battleship Yamato (Anatomy of the Ship"), and have yet to start construction. Initial impressions of the casting quality, packaging, and instructions, are very high. This was shipped directly to my home in Nova Scotia, and it arrived within ten days of ordering. Very pleased with every aspect of this purchase.

Most impressed with the kit itself,but the shipping was INCREDIBLE. Ordered on the June 17th and arrived at my door step June 20th from Japan. Would definitely order from them again.

El barco es muy bonito. Se necesitan herranientas para hacer algunos huecos, les recomiendo un mini taladro para ello. El barco esta muy detallado y lo mejor es que puedes pintarlo a tu gusto. ¡Definitivamente es idéntico a lo que algun dia fue el Yamato en persona!

Over engineered. But having said that, it,s the best fitting kit I have ever experienced, and I have had quite a few kits. Even parts where you would expect a little sanding , clicked into position perfectly. A pleasure to build. The instructions and drawings were another matter. Confusing and inadequate to say the least. But all in all a cracking good kit. Deserves 5 stars.

This is a great kit at a good price. Tamiya quality speaks for itself. Delivery was very fast, in fact I received the kit much earlier than expected.

Super Bausatz! Teile passen exakt. Nur für Fortgeschrittene. Ich hab 5 Tage gebraucht um den Rumpf bis zum Oberdeck fertigzustellen. Einziger Minuspunkt: bei dem Preis, hätte Tamiya auch noch die Reling dazu liefern können und müssen.

Ottimo modello da assemblare. Completo di tutto, tranne i colori. Il costo è elevato ma anche la qualità del prodotto è elevata quindi vale ogni centesimo. Per quanto riguarda la consegna invece massima delusione. Al primo tentativo la mia nave è andata persa. Chiesto ed avuto il rimborso. Il secondo tentativo ha fatto centro e il mio ordine è andato a buon fine anche se con 2 giorni di ritardo.
