Save yourself a vet bill
Had a horse get a heel bulb wound from getting into barbed wire. Proud flesh came up within a few days. I was urgently looking for a fix. I ran across this and tried it. I 10/10 recommend. Best value for your money to save you a vet call. Easy to use, thick paste that dries hard and stayed in place with wrapping. Durable and lasted 24 hr with wrap on. No strong smell in my opinion. Before and after pics show the difference of consistent use!

Top choice for proud flesh
Superior for proud flesh. Thee only product that took down granulation and allowed my boy to heal after a terrible heel bulb laceration. Will recommend

One of the best products for proud flesh
This stuff is magic in a bottle and when I say magic in a bottle, I mean it when using this product definitely wear gloves it’s that potent. I recommend to use it only on the proud flesh because this will eat off any other flesh around it. This works really fast. Don’t use this any longer than one day if you have to reapply reapply it daily. I left it on for two days once and it really ate a good bit of the flesh and I mean by good flesh and not just proud flesh.. I use this and then I applied to Minooka, honey and wrapped to my horses degloved leg. This was better than anything that I carry in my vet office.

Keeps Proud Flesh (Granulation) at Bay
My horse sustained a bad wound to his heel bulb. It was quite deep. The vet gave me a protocol to follow, the last of which was to add this ointment to prevent skin granulation. it has worked very well. You don’t need very much if you apply it evenly and thinly. One small jar lasted us three months of nearly daily application. Pricewise, I would look for when it is on discount as it is small container..

Remarkable!
Absolute life saver! My horse had a wound on his lower leg and I noticed it wasn’t healing as quick as it should. Within a few days a pinkish flesh started protruding from the wound and I knew it was Proudflesh. I ordered the product from Amazon and got it in 2 days. As soon as it arrived, I bathed him and applied the paste/gel to his wound. The next day, the wound had turned black and crusted over. I flaked off the crust, it oozed a bit so I dabbed with paper towel and reapplied the treatment. The third day I did the same thing, with each day the proudflesh was shrinking. By the 4th day it was gone and the original wound began to heal like it should have. Two things: 1. I didn’t know when to stop treatment. I applied it a fourth day and could tell it was irritating him, it must have been eating away at his healthy flesh so I wiped it and rinsed it best I could to remove the remainder. That’s how I knew to stop treatment. 2. It turned green at one point and I was afraid of gangrene but by deduction the paste being blue and the ooze being yellow, the combination created a green appearance. Something the manufacturer may want to reconsider regarding the formula coloring. Overall, I’m keeping this product in my first aid arsenal and would highly recommend it to anyone experiencing small cases of Proudflesh, save yourself a vet visit and sedation for your horse. For reference, my gelding’s wound was approx. 1.5x2”.
