Incredible mic. Great upgrade over the beta 87 capsules. I do 8 shows a week in a live concert venue and I have replaced all of my beta 87s with these. High end is much much smoother and the warmth is awesome. Way more gain before feedback. Love love this mic.

This is a great-sounding capsule that cuts through the mix well and rejects background noise. It has a nice top-end that the SM58 and even the Beta 58 doesn't have. With the red foam insert, the capsule also has a unique appearance that stands out no matter where it's being used, although it does come with a black foam insert if you don't like the red. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for another option to add to their mic locker. I'm counting off a star on this product because it has a terrible smell on first unboxing. I'm not sure if it's the paint they used on the grille or the dye they've used on the internal windscreen, but the smell is very strong. If you or anyone else are sensitive to strong smells, it might be a good idea to let this one air out first before using it or pop a Shure A85WS or similar windscreen over the top to "mute" the smell.
