Better than the original.
My original one has the prongs on the adapter box and I could not use the floor outlet for the sofa. The replacement one has the prongs and the adapter box separate. Will definitely buy another so I can get rid of the extension cord. I was able to zip tie the replacement adapter box and hide it under the sofa.Perfect replacement for my damaged adapter that came with the recliner sofa.

These are not well made
I bought two of these in mid-February. One for each recliner. Both of them worked for a few days/weeks and then just quit. Fortunately, I am still within my return window, but it's frustrating that these supposedly "new" units quit after only minimal use. I am trying to find another brand. I have no faith in this one.
