Corvette C5
This book is a historical look at the development of the Corvette C5. The people and the politics involved are the main subjects. The car is secondary. If you are interested in the car, its equipment or its options, this is not the book for you. There is very little written about the car. There are photographs of no more than four C5s in the whole book. There are wasted pages with photos of some of the Corvette's main competitors. I would rather have seen more photos of C5s. While the development story was somewhat interesting, in whole, I wanted to read more about the car itself.

Good photography
Nice book. It contains some excellent photos and artwork. It is similar to a lot of other books out there on the subject in that it talks about the developmental program and history of the C5 models. An interesting read.

So so book
I ordered several books about the C5 Corvette when I purchased my 2001 Corvette and joined a Corvette Club last fall. This one is OK but there are better books out there. If I hadn't read "All Corvettes Are Red" first I would have enjoyed this one more. Get it if you are buying several Corvette books but don't make it your first choice.Charles

SOME BOOK STORES ARE MUCH BETTER THAN OTHERS
I received my book well ahead of the scheduled time. The book was in perfect shape as it was double padded with bubble wrap.

The early C5
This is a great book which heralds the development and arrival of the C5. As a former C5 owner I found this very informative as it has some commentary on the fixed roof coupe, a forerunner of the Z06. The book could be improved by being updated to include later models of the C5, if there were to be later editions published, but as far as it goes it's a tidy book with good illustrations.
