It works very well on my MacBook Pro 15 inch (2017 model with touch bar). Charging time is similar to the original cable and the magnetic end is reversible similar to type C.The only drawback is, when you attach the pin to the magnetic part, if the pins inside the socket touches any metal part it produces a short circuit and sparks. Hence always switch off the adapter power before you attach the cable or be very very careful when you connect it to the laptop attachment.

Works nicely with my latest MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch Bar Mfg Dec 2017 (Model No A1706) Concept is great - The cable pops off if you trip over the cable, thus saving your pricy MacBook from a fall. This is an alternative to MagSafe power cable which apple unfortunately stopped manufacturing. I am usually skeptical of using non apple accessories with apple product as it is known fact that after few days apple product says that "This accessory may not be supported" however it does not happen with this cable. Deserves 5 stars. I wish they made separate attachment too which would convert my original apple USB-C charging/data cable to Magnetic USB-C cable.

Deeply flawed concept which I only realized once I started to use.This product works only when you have a habit of charging at a single location. Or you need to keep unplugging the cable everywhere you go. Either that or you need to take care of the metal that sits in the phone when you need to use another conventional cable in the car or office etc. I placed the wire in the bedroom for overnight charging. When I enter the car I carefully remove the metal piece and place it in the cup holder to connect to the charger in car. When I return I will have to remember to re connect the metal piece back in the phone or I will have to deal with going to the car again to get it or I can't use the charger.Solution? Multiple cables for single pin as well as multiple pins for single cable has to be an option. That way I can leave the pin on the phone when I go from car to home and vice versa.

It does fast charging. Unlike shown in the product image, it fits perfectly in usb c port of your MacBook( I included a picture with the review.). Quality of wire is good as well. I don't know if it will last long as I have received it today itself.

Although it doesn't support my phone but the cable quality and length is surprisingly good. Just a little too expensive.

Stopped working months! Started with breaking charge in the middle suddenly, then it would resume automatically. Now it’s stopped working altogether!
