Wow, these lights are amazing! I am the envy of my whole street. I had been searching for some time now for a inexpensive solar lamp post light, and boy did I hit the jackpot when I found these, or should I say when these lights found me. All the solar lamp posts lights that I came across were more than I wanted to pay, so I finally entered cheap solar lamp post lights in my yahoo search field....and I was directed to these. The price is just what I was wanting to pay for one and these luckily came with two. They aren't your typical lamp post on the bottom because these don't have a base they just stake into the ground which was fine for me. They are really bright at night and really adds great curb appeal. I have them on opposite sides of my driveway and WE love them.

The look is great, the way its made is awesome (ea steak is really several 1ft strips that can be locked into ea other - great since we are w/ a hillside yard, and were able to take one panel from 1, and match the hillside angle.)BUT: Lousy w/ power. Sure, they came on the first night, but ever since has been Very Low Dim, and only from about 6pm - 8pm.Then bedtime - Lights Out!!

Construction on these is pretty good. It is a solar light, so don't expect a huge beam. Units that sit closer to the ground look brighter because they reflect the ground around them. Closer to the 4 ft height. Battery life is pretty good too.

Hello everybody!I received my solar light on Friday, February 8th. I put them outside, along my walk path immediately! They look terrific! I turned them on on Sunday night, and the lights were on when I went out at 6:00 a.m. on Monday!I bought a couple of nice black plant pots, and planted my multi-color mini roses, then I put the lights in the pots.My next door neighbor already asked me about them on my way to work today (Monday). She wants me to order a set for her....If you are thinking about getting these lights, do not hesitate any longer...they look very very beautiful! I do not regret my purchase, even my husband liked them, and he doesn't care about decorating anything! LOLI am extremely happy with my purchase, Hope they last long!...

I purchased these lights to replace my existing light at the top of my driveway. The size of the lights was a little smaller then I expected but I was able to remove the old lights and replace them with these new lights and I am able to use the old stands. This saved me a lot of work and other then being about 50% smaller they look like my old lights. It took me about 3 minutes to replace the old lights using the old stands.

I ordered 10 of these solar lanterns. I unpacked 6 of them. I noticed that some came in different sized boxes and had been repacked with different types of packing materials than the rest. I mention this because it looked like the different sized boxes may have been returns from previous orders. According to the barley visible instructions, it looked like the batteries should have been packed in separate plastic bags to keep them from discharging during shipment. I inspected each one of the solar cells and found that they had defects such as poor soldering and some had wires inside the cells did not even touch one another. I installed the batteries into 6 of them then put them into direct sunlight from sun up to sun down. That should have charged up the batteries enough to keep the bulbs lit most of the night. I made sure that the switches were in the "on" position". None of them worked so I shipped them back. Please don't buy them.

These lamps were easy to assemble. Four stars because they don't stand perfectly straight and lean rather easily. Fortunately, I put mine inside a plastic flower pot and punched a hole so stake would go through. Them added silk flowers and filled 1/3 way with sand to make it stand straight. Solar panels absorb sun great and turn on at night faithfully thus far.

As another reviewer has stated, these lights are not very bright - certainly not the "super-bright" light in the item description -- but similar in brightness compared to typical solar lights you can get in the "big box" stores. To me, the only advantage of these lights is that they come with four 12 inch connecting posts (one inch in diameter) so that they can be up to 4 feet tall.Edit: I took apart one of the lights and found that there is only a single small LED bulb, which explains the low level of light output.
