I just received my third pair of Altai boots and i feel like writing a long overdue honest review. I have now owned 3 pairs of the exact same model boots and i love how breathable, lightweight, and roomy they feel. I work as an electrician for the past 4 years and i have worked in general construction since 2005 and i have not found a healthier boot than Altai's. I wear boots 8+ hours at a time 5 days a week. I am a speedwalker and these boots do not slow me down due to their lightweight. My work sometimes requires me to be outdoors in the hot sun (upgrading main electrical service panels, running conduit on commercial buildings, upgrading parking lot lights to LED...etc) and these boots do not "cook" my feet. I bought my first pair after deciding to eliminate leather products from my wardrobe. These boots keep metal shavings, sawdust, gravel, and dirt from the worksites from entering my feet thanks to their midheight. I work in attics and crawlspaces and these boots can take a beating and protect my feet from fiberglass insulation, rocks, gravel, concrete debris...etc. After my first pair needed a replacement i bought the exact same ones again. After my second set of boots needed a replacement i decided to buy from another well known manufacturer that cost me twice as much. I was hoping they would be an upgrade from my Altai boots. I was really wrong. After 2 weeks i had calluses on the top and outsides of my large toes due to a lack of inner padding. My socks would be soaked by the end of the workday due to overuse of unbreathable exterior rubber parts. I also got the dreaded "cooked" toes even though the boots were light tan color just like my previous 2 pairs of Altai boots, i guess the inner padding in my previous Altai boots act as a direct heat insulator. I decided to go back to the Altai brand boots and what a relief it has been. My feet are slowly healing back to health. When my third set of Altai boots need replacement i will absolutely buy from Altai again, and again. If your work requires you to walk around tough debris laden terrain and/or you work in the hot sun i really recommend these Altai boots. Do it for your health.

These boots are so light and comfortable. They fit true to size for me. The speed lacing eyes hold secure and the laces (including an EXTRA PAIR) work better than smooth/round cord laces. The armored fabric holds up well to scraping against rocks. I love that the pull tab is sewn down the entire back of the boot. The boots are waterproof as advertised. I'll be buying Altai boots again. Next pair will be the black leather 8" for duty boots.

I absolutely love these boots and have them in black as well. I work in a correctional facility and often am standing on concrete floors from anywhere from 8-16 hours a day. These boots don’t hurt my feet like some others I had did. Highly recommend!

Great boot! Easy to put on due to speed laces. Boots breath well and come with an extra set of laces.

These boots are amazing. I wear mine everywhere (work on concrete standing all day, around the house, etc.). They fit well, a half size smaller than my shoes. They don' get to warm or cold. I live in Wisconsin aan I can't wait to see how they handle the winter. They are light and easy to wear.
