Orin Orisa: Songs for Selected Heads (English and Yoruba Edition)

I bought a book of oriki about a year ago. It was just eh. But this song book worked better for oriki because oriki is sung for/to the Orisa. The book also has tons of background. So this book kills 3 birds with one stone. That's why I've given it such a high rating. I could mention that songs without the music are only poems but I won't. I also like that there are translations to English so I know what I'm singing

Love this book! It shares the praise songs to the Orisha. It helps me feel closer to my community

The books are excellently written, being an Orisha Priest that has not been active due to family matters and then illness. I was able to refresh my brain and not look out of place for my 35yrs. Thank you to the writers.

The CD that came with the book did not work requested a replacement never received it and just have a book no music I’m very disappointed

Simply excellent and indispensable for learning the correct words and meanings of Yoruba sacred orisa songs. Scholar Baba John Mason is to be very highly commended!

I really like this book. It has the Yoruba written with, from what I understand, pretty good explanations and loads of oriki and notes about the songs all throughout the book. The only thing that could make it better is audio recording of all the songs, but that may be too much to ask. Overall, this is a great book and needs to be in the library for any orisha practitioner.

This book has many lyrics to songs and prayers which are pretty accurate. I'm not sure on the translation, but I didn't care for that. Thank you!
