Great Bike
Putting together was relatively easy. Can be done by one person but a second person would be easier to tighten some of the screws. It took about a full day, LOTS of treats, and adding her favorite bed to the trailer to really get our pup comfortable. But now she will get in when told and has no problem riding to the breweries in it. Only problem was hooking it up to our e-bikes; the pin that came with our bikes was not long enough so we had to hook it up to our regular bike (60 lb dog is a lot to pull). We’ll get an extended pin for our e-bikes so no big deal.

Best price! Great cart 4 paws up!
Cleo our 35lbs Shiba Inu loves her new cart. We had the smaller version Schwinn offers but Cleo got too tall. This is an awesome upgrade with the kickstand to stabilize the cart, the Velcro straps at the corners to allow access to the poles where we attach the red flashing light for visability. The pockets inside are nice to keep things from rolling around in the car with her. There is another review on here stating that the cart doesn’t collapse easily, I couldn’t disagree more. We disassemble this after every use and I am flabbergasted as to how that person thinks it could be easier while still being a stable cart while in use. They also rated the cart poor because it didn’t work with their bike which isn’t really fair, I didn’t rate the last Schwinn cart we had poorly because our dog outgrew it. Update: We are still very happy with the cart! Everything has held up well and it is not loose after collapsing multiple times and many camping trips.

A pain in the butt to put together
And it’s only one bar and it’s really hard to slide across the clip in place and the clip broke and the mesh screens only zipper one way they should’ve had double zippers on it, and they should’ve made the mesh is stronger more resistant to dog claws, because they were torn apart very easily to be ripped apart than the zippers couldn’t zip anymore and everything just started falling apart the bar that you clip to keep it up doesn’t clip anymore for the amount of money it’s pretty worthless. That’s why I’m going for one of those Thule’s easy to set up and take down. And had a dog specific carrier cover. If it holds up that is too, be found out. But I’m going to be primarily using it as a dog stroller/carrier trailer hopefully for the extra money it was worth it but not the Schwinn stick the bikes not the trailers.

Pit Bull loved it
Got this 110 lb pit bull who has grown old and can’t walk the distance anymore. Plenty of size for him in here, he seems comfortable and it’s sturdy as can be. Definitely shakes when he’s trying to put his escape plan to work but there’s a place you can leash your dog to the inside so it doesn’t matter. Pain in the ass to install though.

Disappointed with locking mechanism
First of all, the fabric is so tight that you have to lay the trailer on it's side, step on the frame bar, and pull like hell on the other frame bar just to try to lock in the crossbar that disconnects at one end to allow you to fold the trailer. Second, the locking mechanism on the crossbar is plastic, so the locking tabs were the first thing to break during assembly. Without the ability to lock the crossbar, the trailer collapses the second you try to move it. I fixed this issue by drilling through the plastic connector and installing a screw; unfortunately, that means the trailer is no longer collapsible. with that being said, the trailer does pull really nice, though. Pulling this trailer is effortless with a 38 lb. Corgi riding in it. Overall, it's a nice sturdy trailer, but, when I need to replace it, I will NOT purchase this one again. If this was made with a metal locking mechanism instead of a cheap plastic one, my story would be different. I always trusted Schwinn, but this made in China crap will only hurt their reputation.

It's a no for us
The product comes in one box visible what's on the outside. Unboxing the parts and putting this together was very difficult, the directions were not very helpful either. The flag pole came broken so I had to reach out to Schwinn for a replacement. Still working through this support.. As the other reviews have said the crossbar is so difficult that I am not sure I will be able to easily break down when transporting it, so that's why I may not keep the trailer. It also is a lot smaller than I was expecting. I got the bigger size thinking I could transport 2 40lb dogs after they get tired of running beside the bike. However, I think it would be extremely snug and maybe unsafe. It does seem like a stable trailer and good quality and I do like all the pockets, there are two interior and one on the outside; there is a bar in the bottom that folds down if you're stopping for a longer periods; the floor is hard so I recommend adding some cushion; there is an interior leash to connect to dogs harness; and, it did not come with tools to build it Now for training the dogs to use it.. I kept it in the house for a week while I trained two dogs to go in and out of it and then closing and opening the flaps using a lot of rewards. Once they were comfortable enough to go inside with the window shut I would pick it up from the connector arm and wheel it around the house for about 5 minutes. Then we finally took it outside. I attached it to my bike and put one dog inside and walked my bike around the flattest part of the yard for a few laps. Once I feel comfortable they won't jump out and it is properly connected I will take it to the trail. Will update the review later for how this goes. Update: second time in the trail. I was able to fit both dogs comfortably, so no issues there. We rode about 7 miles and at the end of the trip I saw that the back wheel became dislodged from the trailer. A bolt must have come loose when we were riding and fell off. I wouldn't recommend this product , doesn't seem like a safe option.

Works but could be a little bigger (higher) for my 45 lb dog. She's most comfortable sitting in it rather than laying down as she is tall. Appreciate the interior collar strap and that you can semi fold the trailer for travel/storage. Some room for improvement-the smaller opening (that you can fold back) on top could be bigger (there should be more space/of am opening closer to the rear bike tire) so the dog doesn't have to sit so far back in the trailer when sitting upright; you can open the trailer entirely but I wouldn't suggest this if on a gravel road or if you have a dog that may attempt to jump out. Additionally there is virtually no suspension so unless you're on asphalt or concrete, you don't want to go too fast (so the dog isn't taking the brunt of the bumps). Manuvering seems to be a breeze (I wouldn't take a turn fast though). Only complaint was that the trailer was missing a screw so we had to call Schwinn to get that (they were very good about it though and it arrived within a week from the states). Overall, good trailer for this price point. Would recommend if you don't have a dog that is overally anxious.

Es de excelente calidad y es muy fácil de ensamblar. Me gusta mucho que se colapsa para poder transportarlo fácilmente en la cajuela del coche. Lo único que no me gustó es que es algo pesado.

Bought this for my 28kg dog . Arrived with an essential boot missing and another bolt had been just thrown in box and not in the plastic bag with other bolts etc. Looks great and easy to attach to bike - My dog a little nervous at 1st about getting in. Took him 200 yards down the road and when I got back when I guess turning he had managed to break the front mesh which is very flimsy and never going to contain a large dog . I had the supplies belt attached to his collar at its shortest so to restrict movement to the max. I contacted Schwinn as per instructions on Amazon and they responded from the US very quickly and gave me a UK based contact. Messaged them and after a follow up please reply email I got a polite email informing me that they did not supply / have anything information / replacement parts on this product. I forwarded this back to the US and received a short message saying they still could not assist and I needed to go via Amazon . After some issues with getting through Amazon customer service were really good and even though they could not offer me any repairs advice they did refund me in full . Bottom line is if you have any problems with this product Schwinn offer no support or customer service in the UK. Great idea in principle however It is probably best suited to very docile small / medium dogs who are immediately comfortable sitting in a moving carrier.

Bought this for a friend who just got a new puppy. She needed it because she has to bike a lot and needed to take her puppy with her. Unfortunately the quality of the Schwinn is less than stellar. Not even 30 days after receiving the trailer ripped. We are talking about a puppy not a huge dog either. Schwinn should be ashamed for producing such a low quality product that can't even hold up to a puppy when they claim it is good for dogs up to 100 lbs. Clearly safety and quality was not taken into consideration when making this product.
