A really nice watch
I really like this watch. It's slightly bigger at 54 mm, and heavier at 130 gram (4-1/2 oz) than my Hamilton 992B, 50mm and 95 grams (3-1/4 oz). Being a hunter case it's also thicker. Once in your pocket that difference isn't really noticeable. It really feels good in hand and the gun metal finish is very nice. Nice enough for a suit and rugged enough for jeans.I saw other reviews for Gotham pocket watches in this same price range that ran fast out of the box. This one does too. But I'm not particularly concerned at this point. I'll give it a few weeks to break in and if it still gains time then I'll figure out how to open the case and adjust it.Edit: After resetting the time and a few days of observing it the watch appears to be keeping very good time. Maybe I didn't set it exactly the first time? In any case I have no complaints about its accuracy now.Something I didn't see in the product description is that both front and back open. To open the back press the stem release and then open the back with your fingernail near the stem. It hasn't popped open by itself yet. The works are then exposed to view through a glass port. It's obvious where the adjuster is.So why am I not concerned that it's running fast this first day? When I got my first Hamilton railroad watch (21-jewel, lever set) I was working as a relief railroad station agent in 1969. The first thing I had to do (under federal law since I was involved with train movements) was take it to an authorized jewelry store and have it calibrated and certified. This was prior to quartz watches being approved for railroad use. As great as that watch was it and despite how much mystique has grown up about them since it didn't run as accurately as the first Quasar watches. Many railroaders wore their Quasars to keep accurate time and carried their certified Hamiltons to show the inspectors. Those Hamiltons were manually synced to the master clock at the chief dispatcher's office each morning by voice over the common station communications circuits (a big party line). I did too. I really only worked part time for the railroad for a few years. But it started my love for a good pocket watch. My current Hamilton 992B I adjusted myself. The railroads haven't required certified pocket watches for many years and there's no longer anywhere really to take them and get them calibrated like many years ago. Many digital watches are more accurate than any true railroad watch today. Or any other mechanical watch for that matter. You should also know that this Gotham watch is by no means a true railroad watch in anything but style.

Real nice watch
I don’t know why I have a passion to own a quality pocket watch, but I do. I think this watch fills that bill. It has a beautiful black/brass finish and I plan to have it decorated with my wife’s name and mine, with a heart splitting the names. The watch keeps good time as long as I remember to wind it. I love the watch and would recommend it to anyone. I received the watch on time and it was well packed to spare it from damage. Thanks guys!

Very nice pocket watch
This pocket watch feels solid, especially the release button for the covers on both sides of the watch. One one side, the dial is beautiful and on the other, the display back shows how the craftsmanship works so well. I highly recommend this watch.

So far, so good.
Watch arrived quickly (4/6/22) and was in pretty good packaging. One thing was the lack of instructions. So far, customer service has been pretty good. David at Gotham Watch responded quickly to my questions via email though. Wish there was a way to register the watch online for any future warranty service. Some of the reviews talked about running fast or slow. So far, mine is running awesome. I check the regulation every couple of days with a UTC website and it runs pretty close to the listed UTC time. I don't like not being able to "hack" the second hand to the UTC site so the second hand is off by about 15 seconds. The watch is gorgeous (gunmetal coating over stainless steel) Double Hunter. Wish the hands were luminous though. Finish seems pretty tough. Overall, I am quite happy with this product, at this time. I probably should have ordered the "open face" model though. Always opening up the front cover is a bit of a pain.
