Get FIZZY WATER on DEMAND!
Well what a product! Looks great and works very well! No more plastic bottles for us! Why did we not do this sooner! Well made, sleek, easy care, really good tasting fizzy water. Water lever well sprung, sheer elegance! Very happy with our purchase! Designed in Sweden so you know it is quality! Looking forward to many years of use and many fizzy drinks. Uses soda stream cartridges which can be easily replaced at many outlets, so once you have purchased your cylinder, you exchange old for new and only pay for the CO2 refill. Easy? No more PLASTIC! Good for you and our PLANET!

Stylish, Sleek & Works Perfectly
I don't like having anything on show on my worktop but if I do, I needs to be stylish (and preferably gold haha). Lovely shade of gold/brass, sturdy and easy to use. Used to have the plastic one by the leading brand but this is a class apart. Fits the same cannisters as a standard machine so no issues getting refills from Argos. Wish they did bottles with gold tops (not silver). Something to think about...😉

Beautiful looking and premium product, but still expensive for what it is!
It isn't really worth the price tag in my opinion, but if you want a sleek and premium looking alternative to a plastic'y SodaStream (and you can afford it) this is definitely the right choice for you! The 1lt bottle is a little large for my liking as I prefer to gas and drink straight away, rather than gas the water and store it in the fridge. To this end, I bought a pack of 2x plastic 500ml(450ml) sodastream bottles for under a tenner, and can confirm that they fit the Aarke just fine. Overall we are very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Looks great, sturdy, bottle let’s it down
It looks really nice and feels sturdy, easy to use and so far working well, but the carbonated bottle is a let down. I’ve had it since January 2020 and really only begun using it recently with the warm weather. The bottle looks very nice but stainless steel part at the bottom of the bottle had fallen off and doesn’t look like it was ever glued on. The stainless steel screw cap is just twisting and twisting for ages until eventually with the right pressure finally comes off. It’s rubbish. For nearly £30 to replace it gave an additional bottle I think it’s massively over priced and Aarke really should look at this.

Solid
A solid piece of kit which has not lost CO2 like the earlier model was reported to do. The bottles are expensive (one is included) but they look the part and hold the carbonation properly. This is quite expensive, but it looks expensive too. If you want a carbonator that looks fantastic in a sleek, modern kitchen then this is it.

Much more robust than the plastic ones by the other brand
Decided to buy a carbonator to cut down on single use plastic bottles so could not see the point buying a plastic machine to do my own. This is, as all other reviews have said, a well built machine and I know its more expensive but you get what you pay for and looks great on the counter.

Shockingly bad Quality!
I had high hopes for the item. When unpacking I immediately realised the beautiful design. Sadly at the very same moment, I also realised the astonishingly bad quality of the item! Considering we are talking a almost 200£ carbonator, I was expecting a solid build. But that thing looked like it was plastered together for 5$ in China. The metal has a feel and think ness you would see in a coke can. The handle was not adjusted with springs but was a hollow piece of metal just stuck j to the body, the bottom got a plastic lid which resembles a takeaway food container and didn’t even sat balanced. Leave alone being secure. The plastic bottle has to visible joints which again look downright dangerous! To me it seems the price tag comes for the rather handsome design but the vendor got greedy and cut the production cost to a level that this piece resembles something from the pound shop! Utterly frustrated as I now have to drag that rather large parcel back to a post shop to return that piece of cheap and dangerous junk! At this price point, the quality is utterly shocking! Please also be aware that the reviews are fake! Amazon states 800+ reviews and there are 23! 8 of which give it 1 am star! This whole thing seems like a bad scam! And that review comes from a guy who is used to buy high quality Kittchen items like Fissler, miyabi, gaggenau, etc....

This is a truly wonderful thing
Umming and Ahhing for a while because of the price and it's only water after all and even soda-stream was considered too frivolous in my household growing up. But then fizzy water is great but heavy and all that single use plastic..... Anyway, bought it and am very glad I did. It's a beautiful thing and a joy to use. The novelty has not worn off. My blood is fizzing.

60 flessen of echt 60 liter.

I've owned the Aarke II for just under 3 months and am really pleased with it. I load up the bottle with tap water every evening and give 3 good pumps and pop it into the refrigerator overnight. In the morning I start my day with a quick 8 oz. glass and take my vitamins, followed by a coffee and light breakfast. I then manage a few more glasses throughout the day while working and by dinner time I've had a full bottle of water. I've never been a big water drinker, but found myself dehydrated more often, perhaps just the stress of the pandemic. I couldn't seem to get myself motivated to drink a liter of water a day, it seemed like a chore, so I had started buying sparkling water - some with flavor some plain - to try to make hydration a little more enticing. But after a while I got tired of lugging cases of water home each week and, if I'm honest, I wasn't thrilled about the number of plastic bottles that I was going through, which didn't always get recycled. It was all starting to feel like a burden. But then I saw The Aarke II and took a chance and ordered it - suffice to say it has been a game changer. I did the math and the Aarke has paid for itself in both time, conservation and dollars spent on packaged water already. I've found it very easy to use. The gas cartridge screws into the bottom with no effort and the bottle screws in neatly to the pump mechanism which is well sealed so there is no spray or mess. The drip tray collects any backwash through the tube, and I empty that about once a week - just pick up the machine, take it to the sink and pour it out. My first cartridge has lasted a full 90 days, and is still going, so that's at least 90 liters so far. The unit sits neatly under the overhead cabinets and has a relatively small footprint. I chose the stainless steel version (because it happened to be slightly reduced compared to the other colors at the time) which feels solid, cleans easily and looks modern and smart with everything else in the kitchen. Some have said the quality isn't good, but I don't see the issues. It's stainless steel, not chrome, so you can see it looks like an industrial machine. For reference, I've got the 2nd generation and there is a newer model out which may have additional features. But for me, this model has performed exceptionally well, surpassing my expectations. Not only is it beautiful and functional, it has really added to my quality of life. I had owned one of the cheaper competitors originally, but it was fussy and ugly and leaked. The Aarke is solid Scandinavian design and high quality, a true simple luxury. I've recently started to experiment with adding ginger shots which turns it into a pep cocktail. All around a great machine that is allowing me to once and for all achieve my hydration goals and check off that box on my daily planner that says "drink water." I've never been able to do that before; at least not consistently. Now I don't even have to think about staying hydrated. I just enjoy drinking water. Definitely one of the best investments I've made all year.
