Good Substitute for Ecotrition Yogies
With Ecotrition Yogies being discontinued, I was looking to find suitable replacement for my pet rats. Mini Drops by Vitakraft turned out to be a great substitute, albeit not all the same. The most important thing is the fact that my rats like these. If you want detailed comparison, see below: Content size: Yogies: 3.5 oz Mini Drops: 2.5 oz Texture: Yogies: Creamy and starts melting at skin temperature. Mini Drops: Not as creamy as Yogies, and doesn't melt as fast. Has slightly chalkier texture. Taste: (Yes, I tasted these, for science!) Yogies: Creamy and somewhat sweet with mild fruit or cheese flavor, with mild chalky aftertaste. Mini Drops: Almost immediate chalky flavor, stronger than Yogies, followed by taste of banana or cherry. Less sweet than Yogies. In my anecdotal experience, the initial chalky flavor is minutely similar to that chalky flavor you experience when taking a Vitamin supplement, like the Flintstones Vitamin chews. Size: Yogies: Uniform in size and shape. Mini Drops: Wild variations. See attached photo for reference. Suggested usage: Yogies: 1 to 2 treats per day. Mini Drops: 3 to 5 drops per day. Ingredients: Yogies: Sugar, palm kernal and palm oil. Dried whey, dextrose, dried yogurt (cultured whey protein concentrate, cultured skim milk and yogurt culture), soy lecithin (emulsifier), natural and artificial (cheese or fruit) flavor, color added (yellow lake 5 or titanium dioxide, red lake 40) Mini Drops: Sugar, vegetable oil, dried whey, dried whey protein concentrate, corn starch, cherry powder, banana powder, lecithin, Vitamin A supplement, Vitamin D3 supplement, Vitamin E supplement, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, d-Calcium pantothenate, niacin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, Vitamin B12 supplement, ascorbic acid, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex, vanilla flavor Guaranteed analysis: Yogies: Crude protein (min) 1.5% / Crude fat (min) 21% / Crude fiber (max) 0.5% / Moisture (max) 3% Mini Drops: Crude protein (min) 3% / Crude fat (min) 20% / Crude fiber (max) 3% / Moisture (max) 7% Right off the bat, the major ingredient of both is sugar. When you go further down the list, you'll notice that Yogies makes use of dairy, which doubles as binding agent, whereas Mini Drops seems to use corn starch. This explains why Mini Drops is more resistant to melting than Yogies. Mini Drops appear to make use of much more supplements than Yogies. When I tasted the Mini Drops for the first time, it had that very mildly chalky flavor that I couldn't put my finger across. Then I looked at the ingredients and saw all the vitamin supplements, which immediately made me think of vitamin tablets. The taste was barely there, just enough to get me confused until I saw the ingredient list. As for my opinion on whether the Mini Drops are worthy replacement to Yogies... Yes, I believe so. None of my eight rats showed any reservation in wolfing down Mini Drops. You can feed them a little more per day than Yogies, which might be beneficial if you use them as treats to train your rats.

Yum yum bubble gum!
Our little hamster loves these. They are healthy for our little girls and they even smell good. The color makes them look edible for humans lol. Our little girl can eat these with ease, no fear of her choking. Great value for the money. And we have taught her to go up and down the steps in her cage using these.

Tasty treat, but use in moderation
These treats are a nice little snack for small pets — mine seem to really enjoy the taste and get excited every time. The size is perfect for hamsters or mice, and they work well as a reward or occasional treat. I also like that they have a fruity flavor and added vitamins, which makes them feel a bit more special than обычные snacks. The only downside is that they’re quite sweet and not the healthiest option for everyday feeding, so you have to be careful not to overdo it. Treats like this are meant to be given in small amounts (about a few pieces per day). Overall, a good treat if used occasionally — pets love them, just keep portions under control.

These treats are a tiny and healthy snack.
One of my rattiesis picky/very selective; but the other like to hoard them. I put them in a toy that they can roll it around and work for a reward.
