Thank you, seller! This worked perfectly!
I recently lost my dog of 15 years and started looking for a way to memorialize him. After a lot of tears and consideration I decided that engraving his food bowl was what I wanted to do. I looked into having it professionally engraved but found the cost-per-letter to be cost prohibitive. I then started looking into a way to do it myself. When I found this engraver I read all of the reviews and decided to give it a try. It worked absolutely perfectly and now I have a wonderful memorial. Thank you, seller, for this product. Now, I would like to address some complaints that I saw in numerous reviews. I will do so by writing a simple "how-to".I hope that people find it helpful.1. Plug the male end of the power adapter into the female end of the included power extension cable.(Many reviews said that the length of wire on the power adapter was too short. The seller has now addressed this concern.)2. unscrew the BLACK collar at the working end of the tool and set it aside. Then press the metal button on the side of the tool and hold it down. While holding that button slowly turn the metal collar until the button clicks into place and the metal collar stops turning. Continue to hold the button down and turn the metal collar counter clockwise to remove it.3. Choose a bit from the case and insert it into the opening. Then hold the button down again and replace the metal collar tightening it firmly but not too firmly. Then replace the black plastic collar.(Several reviews mentioned that the bits were not held firmly. By removing the black plastic collar first you have enough access to get a firm grip on the metal collar.)4. Plug the male end of the included power extension cable into the female receptacle on the end of the engraver. Then, ensure that the engraver is off by turning the thumb wheel toward the power cord until it clicks.(It will probably already be off, but best to check.) Finally, plug the adapter into a power outlet.5. Slowly rotate the thumb wheel toward the front of the engraver until it clicks. Depending on how far you turned the wheel, the bit may or may not begin spinning. The wheel is a potentiometer so the more you turn it the more power will be supplied to the motor. This increases or decreases the RPMs depending on the direction of the turn. Turn the wheel forward until your desired speed is reached (The slowest possible speed should be used for metal. While the highest possible speed should be used for glass.)(Several reviews mentioned that the device doesn't work when turned on, or that it stopped working. If this is the case for you, ensure that the power is firmly attached at all connections, and ensure that you rotate the wheel forward enough to pass the potentiometer dead-zone (A spot near the low voltage end that does not allow current to pass through. This is common in potentiometers) and your device should work perfectly.)I hope that helps!

Works great, easy to use.
Very nice engraving tool kit. The size of the engraving pen is good, just hold it like you’re holding a pen and it's very easy to use. You can control the speed easily with the switch so you can work smoothly and effortlessly. It comes with 36 different sized engraving heads and 16 stencils. With these stencils I can make so many designs on my glasses, and it also perfect for acrylic nails, it's just what I need. I highly recommend.

Great for small, uncomplicated projects
I made the purchase with the intention of engraving our unit's information on high priced equipment. This did the job perfectly. The kit came with a vast array of tips to choose from and would probably work great on any number of smaller projects.

Doesn’t work
It turns on but is not nearly powerful/fast enough to do anything at all on any kind of surface, I was excited abt the variety of bits and stencils it came with and how simple it seemed like it *should* be to use, but unless I was doing something very wrong, or it was much more adjustable in some way I couldn’t figure out (in which case the instructions were not even close to descriptive enough) it was completely useless and a waste of money. disappointing

Manicures is a Artform
When it arrived in plain box and tool was not wrapped. I plugged in and wella "no rheostat" so therefore no speed control. Also started to heat up. I'm a hobbiest so I took it apart and wella the plastic fan came apart in my hand. I inspected the motor and there is no marking on it. They claim german but it looks Chinese. The chuck is good and works with 1/8 inch bits. The diamond plated bits that come with this package are worth the price alone. I'm too lazy to return it because its constantly on high speed.. so I just ordered another one. I'll use the bad one for parts...

EASY TO USE
I ordered this engraving tool kit and thought I would need a lot of practice to use it. I had a different one in the past that I never mastered. On my very first try, I was able to clearly engrave exactly what I wanted on the back of a 3/4-inch St. Anthony medal that was a gift for my son. In fact, my 8-year old grandson used it with ease as well. You can adjust the speed of the vibrations to have better control while engraving. I am pleased that this is a plug-in, because battery-operated ones begin to lose power as the battery drains. I am looking forward to using the various bits and stencils.

Returned two drills - not good for longevity with wood engraving
I just ordered a replacement after a couple weeks of having it - the part that you screw the tip onto came loose, causing the carving attachment to wiggle back and forth, making it hard to control and unusable. The “extension” cord it came with doesn’t even really fit together, I had to tape it to keep it together. And even then it would turn on and off if the cord moved as I was using it. So I’m hoping the replacement will be better, but I have a feeling it’s from using it carving wood jewelry that it’s not sturdy enough to last.Update: ordered the replacement, with this one the extension cord seems to not be working and without it the cord is super short and not really functional. The drill bits don’t stay in place and slip out while working and tips have broken off of several bits. I’m thinking this drill motor and drill bits work more for glass engraving but none the less, both drills I had stopped working, again maybe because I was using it in tough wood, but personally I do not recommend. I’ll be returning both drills.

Great product, amazing price
I love how easy to use the pen engraver is, the only thing I dislike is that all the stencils are a bit big so they’re not suitable for small pieces like jewelry (until I obviously get better and am able to do it by free hand). It works smoothly on bigger plates (I’ve only tried on metal so far). Would definitely recommend for any beginner
