Reliable Backup Power! Great Value in the CyberPower ST425
I recently purchased the CyberPower ST425 Standby UPS System, and it's exactly what I needed for protecting my electronics. This compact unit offers 425VA/260W of backup power, which is perfect for keeping my essential devices running during short power outages or preventing data loss from unexpected surges. With 8 outlets, I have plenty of space to plug in my computer, monitor, modem, and other peripherals. The compact size is a major plus โ it fits neatly under my desk without taking up much space. The black finish is also sleek and blends in well. Setup was incredibly easy; I just plugged it in and connected my devices. It provides peace of mind knowing that my equipment is protected from power fluctuations and that I'll have a few minutes of backup power to save my work and shut down properly during an outage. For anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, and compact UPS to protect their valuable electronics, the CyberPower ST425 is an excellent choice. It's a great value for the features it provides.

Quiet Efficiency: The CyberPower 425 VA UPS Review
The CyberPower 425 VA UPS proves itself as an efficient, reliable, and quiet solution for power protection, suitable for a wide array of devices including Wi-Fi gateways, Macbook Air, QNAP, and even TVs and streaming boxes. The compact size and straightforward setup make it a versatile UPS for any home or small office. With sufficient outlets - four featuring both surge protection and battery backup, and four more with just surge protection - this unit can accommodate a variety of devices. In terms of performance, the CyberPower 425 VA UPS stands out. It responds promptly to power interruptions, ensuring that devices remain powered on and protected. The unit delivers around 90 minutes of power for light loads like a Wi-Fi gateway, invaluable during extended power outages. For heavier loads, such as a Macbook Air or QNAP, it ensures a solid 10 minutes for a safe shutdown, which meets my expectations perfectly. One of the highlights of this unit is its quiet operation. Even under heavy load and during charging, it maintains a low noise level. Furthermore, I haven't experienced any issues with overheating during prolonged usage, testifying to its overall reliability. Lastly, I assume that the power efficiency of the CyberPower 425 VA UPS is adequate, as there have been no noticeable increases in energy consumption since its implementation. Additionally, I have not needed to contact customer service, indicating that the device works well and lives up to its promises. In conclusion, the CyberPower 425 VA UPS is a top-tier choice for anyone seeking a dependable, compact, and quiet UPS for their essential devices. Whether you're dealing with frequent power interruptions or simply want to safeguard your devices from power anomalies, this UPS comes highly recommended. With its stellar performance and reliable operation, I give it a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Excellent little UPS for the money
I purchased this device to put on a portable cart that I keep my HP Plotter and a Canon laser printer. My most important use case was for surge suppression. Secondarily need was to be able to move my cart around our without having to reboot the printers. It has worked flawlessly and has a rather amazing battery life. At one point I moved the plotter/printer cart and forgot to plug it back in for several hours and had no issues. Great little UPS for the price.

Does the job but does not turn back on after battery is depleted.
These have been holding up over the years nicely. Only setback is when the power goes out for an extended period of time, these do not power back up on their own. If you use this on a simple home network, and have a concern with a power outage while you are on vacation, this unit is not ideal.

Real life test was successful. Iโll be getting a couple more!
The electricity went out very briefly a moment ago. Itโs the first chance Iโve had to see if it does work. And it absolutely does. I have a Mac Mini M4, 6 external desktop drives, and a monitor on the UPS side of the device. When the electricity failed, the unit gave a single beep, alerting me and giving me time to turn on the monitor and begin shutting down. Luckily it all came back on before that was necessary. But it would absolutely would have allowed for that much time. Itโs affordable and well made by a solid company! Iโm going to get a couple more for another cluster of computers.

0% success rate on all three I purchased. buyer beware.
I've purchased three of these now, and none of them support even the tiniest load for even a second when the power goes out. I moved into a new old house about a year ago and set up a bunch of electronics. After much research and reading reviews I decided since I need three of these in different parts of the house, I'd get the load needed with a little buffer room to save money. The one in the south end of the house runs nothing but a 1w radio and a 30w fan. The one in my tech closet runs half a dozen small electronics and my home assistant pc. The one in my office should run my home pc, monitors and a few small electronics on a shelf. None more than half the 425 load these should be able to carry. The electricity here hasn't gone out permanently in the year since I moved in, but it has flashed off for more than a minute a few dozen times. First time I used the first unit, it didn't work. Power flashed off and the pc instantly shut down, alarm sounding on the UPS. I took out the battery to make sure it's connected and charged up, all looks great. Next time the power flashed, everything died again. By this point I'd already ordered two more, so now everything in my house that I need to stay running, only for a minute or two, shuts off even when properly plugged into the battery backup side of the ups. Frustrating. These are the cheaper option, but it's still a lot of money for three things probably out of the return window now, that haven't worked once since day one. Spend the money on the better brand, buy once cry once. Now I have to do that too, but I've already wasted the money on these too so cry twice I guess.

425 is plenty for most desktop uses
Packed properly and it works well. I had no trouble running the cables and adapters after my last UPS died.

Works Great - Repeat Buyer
I purchased this as an extra back up for my security camera and alarm system. We get frequent power failures out at the lake and this UPS has help prevent low voltage problems with our security system and allow our security cameras to work for about 60 minutes after a power failure occurs. I've tried the larger Cyber Power UPS but prefer this smaller unit since it doesn't require hooking up a laptop to configure settings and shut off the loss of power warning buzzer. Overall very happy with these UPS, they're a decent price, easy to install and just work.

Died less than a year
In September 2021 I bought this to keep my modem and router running when we have a power outage. Power went out during a storm a few months ago and when I got home the UPS was sounding a constant alarm. Thought it was probably due to power being off too long so I just powered it back up. This constant tone happened another time during the night...again when the power went out...again pushed the power button to turn it back on. Last night when the power went out I instantly lost my internet and the UPS had a constant tone again with no battery backup. Checked today and pulled the plug to put the unit to battery and all I heard was a click and then the constant tone with no battery working. I am truly disappointed that this UPS failed so quickly. Checked the battery voltage and everything was normal so it is not a battery problem. Tried to contact Cyber-Power to submit a ticket...the submission failed to send...even more disappointed!!!!
