Dutch Bakery Stroopie Syrup Waffles

My family had an exchange student from Holland about 20 years ago who has been sending me delicious stroopwaffles in the mail ever since. I absolutely love the little cookies. When I visited Amsterdam a few years ago I brought several packages home. I do not know the brand she sent me or that I bought while visiting there. These Dutch Bakery ones however weren't like the ones I've grown to love. They didn't taste quite right and were VERY hard. They are supposed to be soft and sticky. Disappointed... Save your money.

I just got my Stroopies and am having one with a cup of coffee. I warmed the waffle by placing it over my cup of coffee like a lid so it would soften up a bit as suggested. Oh man these things are tasty sweet. Recommended.

If you've been to Amsterdam or Holland and loved the Stroopwaffles, then buy this, as this the real thing! The package was very fresh and arrived promptly. Will order this again!
