Valterra A01-0189VP Tank Wand Hose Kit

A very simple, ingenious idea. Perfect hose to attach to the Flexible Tank Wand. However, it has it's flaws. First, the faucet adapter would not screw on with the thick rubber gasket inside. So I removed the gasket, but then there was nothing to keep the screen in place and water started to spray out between the faucet & adapter. Then as I threaded the hose onto the adapter, it just ended up unthreading the adapter from the faucet. I had to repeat this on again, off again fiasco a couple times before I got the vice grips out and permanently threaded the adapter onto the faucet. Also, the faucet is very low profile so the hose tends to kink. I prefer to blast the septic with hot water, but the heat of the water makes the rubber hose very soft. It became so soft I thought it was going to fail.On the plus side, this Kit definitely beats running a hose from outside ANYDAY! There's a lot more control of the whole septic flushing process when everything is within reach.

Tested it out and hope to not need it. This tank wand would have made my life allot easer on our last long trip. Took for ever to unclog a toilet pipe.

This worked almost perfectly. It comes with different thickness washers to match the faucet but I still had to get a second washer for the hose part so that it would seal on the adapter. This is likely because I still have the cheap faucet that my toy hauler came with so the hose would bottom out on the faucet before a seal was made. A slightly longer adapter would eliminate the issue.I also installed a shutoff valve for the toilet so that I could still see what I was doing and so that the pressure would be higher than if two things were running simultaneously.

I have been using this hose with the Valterra Flexible Tank Wand to clear the unfortunate 90 degree bend in the pipe to my black water tank. The sink faucet adapter was very easy to install and the fitting on the hose seals with no leaks. The system works great! Use caution, however, when running hot water through this hose. Today after an extended session of pipe clearing using hot water, the hose exploded. I had finished the job and had the valve on the tank wand closed and was talking with my husband for a few minutes when this happened. I am ordering a new one because I figure this was a case of operator error. At least it was the CLEAN water that sprayed all over me!

This has made cleaning my black water tank so much easier. I am able to use hot water and that helps a lot. The hose comes with an adapter to put on the faucet. The only problem that I have is that the connection to the faucet has started to spray out water. I have to put a towel over it so that the bathroom does not "take a bath". I do recommend this item however.

Works great for keeping the long garden hose out of the trailer. Easy hook up to the bathroom sink, and to the wand. I keep it in a bag under the sink, as it rolls up easily. I keep the sink part screwed in full time and then a quick screw on and I am cleaning out the black tank. No more bringing in the hose, cleaning and then taking it back out. Great addition to our camper .

The threaded hose end of adapter does not extend far enough for black collar to clear faucet. Could be a more universal fit.

Yes it worked wonderfully. If your censorship had not denied my first review, many fine folks would had already read my previous review about how It was placed on a CHT wand for a motorhome maintenance accessory. But because I was not politically correct and went outside your sensibilities parameter in my descriptive manner we are here again at your request. Yes, it works wonderful in conjunction with a CHT stir stick for black water maintenance.
