I'm glad they make these
I'm glad they make these, I'm sure for some folks they are life savers. I've been playing for a few years and have good calluses, but had a pretty severe but of hand eczema and was pretty much unable to play for a while. I wasn't able to get on with them myself, but glad they exist all the same!

Good but way over overpriced
Pros: I had low to zero expectations that these would deliver but I was pleasantly surprised. I'll defer to people with physical ailments for the product's utility for them; for ordinary guitarists, especially beginners, they are useful. They are *slightly* clumsy but when you are at the stage where you are shredding your fingers working to learn chords, practicing to speed up transitions from one chord to another and half a dozen similar activities like getting your hand positions correct, they extend your practice time almost indefinately. For people with small hands they extend your reach an 8th or quarter inch which may sacrifice precision playing a bit but gives beginners encouragement that they *can* play once their fingers stetch a bit.Cons: Pretty much what everyone has said. Over time - a matter of days if you practice enough - they expand, loosen and become mis-shaped. And they *will* tear eventually. I didn't find sweaty, moist fingers to be problematic but it happens. The real problem: cost. I paid about $6 USD, the lowest I could find, and that's too much for a product that you will want to use extensively but will wear out (being generous) within a week. The problem seems to be that the product is packaged so as to be an impulse buy at a music store. The packaging is meant to be put on a store display and includes a plastic box that no doubt costs several times the cost of the actual product. When you consider that a box of 100 latex gloves (like at a doctor's office) goes for $5 USD, there is no excuse for 4 gorilla tips to be this expensive. The company would be advised to package 20 or so in a simple mailing style envelope and sell for $5 USD. Customers would feel they are getting value and there would be repeat business.

These are nice fingertip guards
These are nice fingertip guards, and I use them to play my lap dulcimer. Be sure to push your fingers all the way to the ends so that there's no air pocket to cause slippage.

Helps a bit on injured finger.
My husband injured one finger with a table saw. The tip does help him play a bit better. He seems happy with it, although it takes some getting used to. There were no issues with shipping or anything like that.

They are OK
Can't feel the strings with these on your finger tips. May help some with finger tip soreness during learning. Not for me.
