The Fiskars 27'' to 37'' Power Lever Bypass Lopper (9168) will help you trim your trees and other vegetation. It features power-lever technology to strengthen your cutting, so that you can cut through 1" thick branches. The fully hardened steel blade includes non-stick coating, which will allow you to cut with less effort because it reduces friction, enabling you to cut easier and with less strain. The Fiskars Lopper's telescope extends between 25" and 36", so you can reach areas that would normally be out of your grasp. It includes durable steel handles with cushioned grips and a shock-absorbing bumper to provide comfort. It also has tight-locks, which flip up to extend the tool and flip down to securely lock the handles at your desired length.

Excellent quality, high price.
These bypass loppers by Fiskars are as well designed and built as any Fiskars product I have purchased in the past. Unlike many products I have purchased in the past, these are made in China, but priced as if they were still made in Sweden. These bypass loppers are quite good. The cutter comes reasonably sharp and ready to work. It is well finished has extras like comfortable, rubber grips and a rubber washer in between the two halves on the loppers to cushion the impact when you finally cut through and the two halves come together forcefully. This unit is all steel and very heavy-duty (within its limits). The best feature is the telescoping handles. Toward the business end, there is a yellow, plastic, flip up tensioner on each handle. Pull one up and the handle can be slid downward to allow the handle to telescope in and out. Pulling them out (and pushing the flip up latch down to lock it) will extend your reach while still retaining rigidity. I didn't have any problem cutting limbs right up to the maximum diameter of almost 2". The handles didn't start to bow until I tried to go past the limits. The only negative is the price. These aren't made in Sweden, they're made in China and at a Chinese labor rate. They are vastly over-priced for a Chinese-made product. I can't deny they're well designed and made, but I felt like I paid too much. So, four stars instead if five.

Great reach and high quality
I have multiple loppers and shears and cutters to trim the gazilion trees I have on my rural property. They have all lacked the extra reach I have been looking for. I have an older Fiskars model where you twist the handles for an extension but they didn't work well. This model solves all the problems with locking levers and gives a 3 foot reach to really help trimmimg chores. I am going to order several more just in case they for some reason decide to discontinue this version. Excellent product

OPEN WIDE!
Trying to clip a limb that is less than 1 inch, these clippers have to be opened so wide it is impossible to clip the limb! These clippers are not user friendly and I have NEVER had to extend the arms so wide that it was impossible to be able to trim small limbs. I would NOT recommend these to anyone because it is impossible to open the handles wide enough to get the curved trimmer blade around a limb in order to cut it.

Allowed many branches to be trimmed after freezing rain hurt many acres of trees.
While I loved this lopper, the blade broke after a short period of time. I have been refunded the full purchase price. I bought 2 new blades and I still love how well this lopper works. I still recommend it even after it broke.

Works very good for a woman
Works very good for an elderly woman like myself - trimming garden trees instead of firing chops with an axe or cutlass to cut the branches and pruning my plants. It is also sturdy and can grip on the branches.

Really cuts thick branches.
Fiskas make the best cutters. The Long Reach on this one is awesome. The adjustable handles work so EZ.

How did I ever manage without these snippers?
I love everything about these extendable snippers. Makes branch and limb trimming a SNAP!
