Concept2 BikeErg 2900 Stationary Exercise Bike | PM5 Monitor, Adjustable Air Resistance for Exercise, Conditioning and Strength Training | Commercial and Home Use

I have had Concept 2 Rowers in the past and found them to be great for losing weight. I lost 40 lbs by using one over the course of about 6 months without altering my diet. The problem with rowers is most people (including me) never really master the proper technique. We end up using way too much back and arms. That will still get your heart rate elevated so it is effective for weight loss but it can cause back injuries. You don't need any special technique to ride a bike. I'm 63 now and sold my rower a few years back. The pounds are creeping back on. I was researching exercise bikes when I came across the Bikeerg. I did not know it even existed. Concept 2 makes top of the line equipment and I was already familiar with the PM5 monitor and how the drag system works so I ordered one. It arrived expertly packaged and I was able to assemble it by myself although an extra set of hands would be helpful. The machine is commercial grade like all their equipment. You will see numerous reviews of the Bikeerg popping up on youtube and I haven't seen anything negative about it. I have used it almost everyday since getting it in mid March and already feel much better. It is a low impact way to get great cardio workouts. I would highly recommend using a heart rate chest strap to maximize your results. The seat was too hard for my liking but I solved that by getting a padded cover from Amazon. I also made some padded handlebar covers which make it more comfortable for me. There are endless seat and handlebar adjustments so any size rider can get comfortable. I am 6'3 and weigh 250 and have no problem getting everything adjusted. I just wheel it up close to my computer monitor and open up my favorite youtube playlist and start sweating. Concept 2 will send you suggested workouts for each day via email if you sign up at their site. You will never get bored with all the available options. I like to race against my best times with the goal of setting a PR every session and it is easy to do that with the PM 5 Monitor. There are many different exercise bikes on the market. Some much cheaper and some much more expensive. The Concept 2 Bikeerg is a heavy duty, built for a lifetime piece of equipment. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a quality exercise bike.

I’ve had this about a month now. Easy to assemble (easier with a helper, and much easier and faster with a power drill with a screw-tightening attachment.) Rock solid. The screen, Bluetooth connection to iPhone, and logging to the website (free) are easy to read and implement. And it operates wonderfully. I’ve used it 6 days a week and give it the highest marks. I replaced the seat with a far more comfortable one: count on doing that unless you have a butt of iron. Seat and pedals are easily replaceable with standard bicycle parts. Once assembled, it’s easy to tilt and roll it around if you need to. Documentation is very good, and lots of YouTube info on it. I held my breath — it’s a big item, and exercise equipment is often unused — but this has been a very successful purchase. I find it much better than the cheaper alternatives I’ve briefly tried. Addendum Feb 22, 2023. Three years later and it's been absolutely trouble-free and a great addition to my life and conditioning efforts. Not a moment's trouble. I've ridden over 16 million meters on it in three years. Newer models, I understand, come with a mount that can handle an iPad Pro. I bought a 3D-party stand awhile back that works well. I watch movies on the iPad while I do my 45-90-minute workouts.

My bikerg showed up in great shape. Assembly was crazy simple and easily done with one person. The instructions have a plethora of photos to assist you. There are no creaks, knocks, or klunks. It pedals along nice and smoothly offering an amazing workout. I have a concept 2 rower I've used for the last several years. I knew the quality of my rower and had high expectations for this bikerg. This machine is worthy of the price tag. My rower has not had a single issue in 6 years of ownership (other than a wipe down and chain oil). I fully expect this machine to provide me use for many many years to come. I am super happy with my purchase.

So I used my wife’s indoor spin bike a few time after injuring my elbow and was unable to use my concept 2 rower. I liked her spinning bike, as it elevated my heart rate and made me sweat more than I expected. So, I decided to try the bikeerg since I love the rower so much. I’m not gonna lie, after the first time trying the bikeerg I thought I made a mistake. I felt a little dead spot or slippage while pedaling. Well after messing with my technique a lil bit I realized it was me not the bike. And this bike is way better than my wife’s bike. She has a $1500 Lemond bike and the bikeerg puts hers to shame. This thing is amazing. It’s very similar to my mountain bike and is definitely a better workout than a traditional spin bike. So much so that I sold my Rogue Echo yesterday. Totally different workout but I don’t see myself using the echo as much any more. I bought clipless shoes and pedals and that made it even better. Buy it you won’t regret it.

This is a highly quality robust bike, built like a tank. I purchased it for my wife some time after she got bilateral knee replacement. After looking at several, in most cases lower cost competitors I selected this one. Contributing factors were (1) I own a Concept II rower made by the same company and I love it (2) some of the other higher quality competitors are actual spinning bikes and some require a subscription to fully function. At least, that how I understand it. The subscription cost are substantial. That said, my wife doesn’t need a spinning bike, but just moderate exercise. One of my initial concerns was whether my wife’s height would be compatible with the bike. She is 5‘2“ (after knee replacement 😀). Anyway I googled And eventually contacted the manufacturer‘s customer service. (Friendly) person assured me that this should just work fine. If not, I could purchase a lower seat pole. After some use and going through 3 different saddles, I’m going to buy that lower seat post (actually the entire rear of the bike), which is available from the manufacturer (not on Amazon). Cost is about $100 give or take. I’m not on a tight budget by any means, but this annoys me somewhat. Why not giving the option for a shorter seat post at the point of selling, for that matter in Amazon? Result was that she wasn’t able to comfortably using it during the last months (yes, I could have acted more rapidly). Anyway, That’s my reason to deduct at least1 star. other than this it is a great bike that mechanically will last for a loooong time. Only minus I would consider that the Fan noice gets quite noticeable at higher Speed/higher resistance, which potentially could be annoying for the other person(s) in the same room.

We had the concept 2 rower and decided that we wanted the bike instead. I’ve had it for 24 hours and my boyfriend is so happy that we made the trade. He’s used it twice so far. I was the lucky one to put it together while he was at work because I couldn’t stare at the box anymore and it wasn’t as hard as I expected it to. The hardest thing was the weight of the bike since I’m not as strong as I used to be lol. My boyfriend used it when I was cooking and I could hear it but it wasn’t that loud, and he apparently used it in the morning when I was sleeping. I had no idea because the bike isn’t loud when it’s in use at all, which is perfect since he wakes up early to workout before heading to work while I’m still sleeping. I’m yet to use the bike but I’m sure that I’m going to love it as well, and won’t be waking my boyfriend up when I’m working out later during the night when he is sleeping. Also, it arrived a lot sooner than it had originally said. I figured I’d have to wait a few days but it was at my door 2 days after I had ordered it. Thank you for the quick delivery!!

I just got the bike in. I have a C2 rower, and from researching, I knew this would be a good product. I want a bike I can use inside for fasted cardio, etc. I have an assault bike I use for HIIT. I looked at many spin bike options, and ultimately decided on this one since I was confident in the quality and the price wasn’t as high as Peloton. I was a bit surprised about how long it took me to put together. I did it by myself on about an hour, but the screws were difficult to tighten and the instructions weren’t the greatest. I had watched the C2 video and thought this would be a quick and easy assembly. The bike is light, which is a plus if you want to roll it somewhere else.

Concept 2 products are amazing quality and gives great work out. We are familiar with Concept 2 from owning Model D and Model E, and limited dealings with their Customer Service is great. The value for the world class equipment is outstanding. I use the Bikerg every day and love the workouts and the challenge, the harder you work the greater the resistance. Highly recommend the Bikeerg or any Concept 2 product!

Comes well packaged and the installation is well thought out with all the required tools. Installation videos are also on YouTube. The bike itself is great, completely solid. I would say that even on the lowest resistance it requires some effort to pedal. I have a magnetic spin bike as well and that can be ridden with barely any effort if desired. The pm5 monitor gives you a wealth of stats and workouts can be uploaded to Concept 2 web site using the free app ErgData. You can compare your results to others on the leaderboards for a selection of events. It pairs easily to a Bluetooth heart rate monitor such as a the Polar H10. This model comes with a universal mount for a tablet or phone. There is no water bottle holder, that is an optional extra on the Concept web site. A strange omission at this price point. There are free workouts of the day posted every day and monthly challenges available on the C2 site. It is quite noisy, I have mine in the garage but would not like to use it in the house. I also have the C2 rower and the fan sound is similar. Unlike other products Concept 2 have a huge community of users to share experiences with on facebook (bikeerg usergroup) Any Concept 2 purchase is guaranteed to meet your expectations 100 percent. Just the Skierg to go !

さすがコンセプト2です。今まではスピンバイクを使っていましたが、どれも一年で壊れてました。 立ち漕ぎを頻回にするせいだと思います。コンセプト2は最初からぐらつきや不安感は一切ありません。 ただ立ち漕ぎはファンのせいで少し難しいです。ただ漕いでいる感覚はまさに自転車です。 ペダルの交換がものすごく固くて大変でしたが、なんとかできてます。 全体としてはともておすすめですね。値段は張りますが、その価値は十分にあると思います。
