Will this affect passing smog? I live in California. Smog laws are tight here.

Our thermostats do not have specific CARB EO numbers for smog approval, but should not affect your inspection. Most items that affect that vehicle certification will be related to intake, exhaust and emissions systems, such as aftermarket cold air intakes, intercoolers and piping, and downpipes. As thermostats only adjust the activation temperature on the cooling system, this should have no bearing on the emissions generated by the vehicle. Will this fit on a 2010 crown Victoria police interceptor?

Hi, i have a 2002 ford excursion with a 7.3 diesel. will this thermostat fit? what do you recommend for hot weather and heavy towing?

This thermostat will not fit a diesel Excursion as it is designed to fit the Ford modular gasoline engines. For a 7.3L Excursion, we recommend looking into the parts we list for the 1999-2003 Powerstroke trucks as most of these items will transfer over. For towing and hotter climates, we recommend the low-temperature thermostats part/model number MMTS-F2D-96L. Noticed a slight drop in engine temps. Super easy to install on an 05-09 mustang gt. Relatively inexpensive for some piece of mind. Fits right in however cant remember if it came with a nee gasket or not, just reused the old on i think? Works great tho and havent had any problems in the 6+ months of having it.
