I just love the feel and use of it. I am learning that bolt action pens are the best type. Twist action wears down, click action is likely to break at some point. and that heavy brass... well... feels like it will last forever. Pilot G2 will be around for long time, and it writes well. I hope Copplus makes more, because I would buy them to give as gifts. I understand their problem... they are so solid, I only need one for life. Only chance I will buy another is because I lost it or it was stolen.

I love this pen. I love the fact that I can use the G2 refills. It is heavy but in a good way and everything stays nice and tight. The only negative thing i would say is that the distressing is a little sloppy where one can tell it was intentionally done. It doesn’t look natural. But that is no big deal to me.

Make sure to loctite bolt cap. Other than that very solid pen that accepts g2 refills!

Firstly the finish became severely scratched after 2 days EDC in a pocket then the finish started rubbing off onto my hand leaving the pen with a dull coppery color instead of that nice distressed look it first came in. Definently returning it after just 2 days.

Pen is heavy, which I like. Writes well and looks nice.

Maker makes a point of the pen being disassemblable but be careful as the bolt operating handle is only finger tight and can rotate out while being manipulated or potentially in a pocket or purse. If lost the pen is useless. In addition to the listed Pilot G2 Gel ink cartridges the pen can take Pilot Frixion erasable ink cartridges. I tried it and they fit fine, so be sure what is in the pen. The Frixion ink vanishes above a certain temperature and becomes visible again if refrigerated or subjected to cold temperatures. Cartridge dimensions are virtually identical.The pen is well machined brass and seems to be of solid construction with the bolt handle exception noted above. I will be Loctiting the bolt handle to prevent loss and have done so to other bolt style pens with the same problem. IMO the bolt handle should be fastened tighter or loctited at the factory.
