Bought this for a fancy dress costume, for a pirate party.Would class the quality as "cheap and cheerful", didn't expect anything else for the money. Looked great on the night!

Like it arrived on time.Dislike said it was for grown ups (it was not) even the grandchild was not impressed, and put it to one side. He went to the Dr Syn parade minus a cutlass.

This was bought to go with a pirate costume for a school play for my 9 year old. Chose this because I recognised the 'Rubbies' brand as reasonable dressing-up costumes. Arrived on Friday, I thought it looked very flimsy and much thinner and garish gold than in the photo. Put it in the dressing-up box, went away for the weekend, pulled it out of the dressing up box on Sunday night in preparation for the dress rehersal and it came out snapped in half! Wasn't played with AT ALL, wasn't used in anyway - just rubbish. Would have happily paid a little more for something that would last.

I ordered this product for my sons fancy dress day. In the picture it looks shiny and detailed. In the flesh it is dull and cheap looking. I probably would buy it from a £1 store if I saw it but not the £3 odd I paid online. I'm disappointed the picture doesnt accurately reflect the product so I am hopefully going to add my own image of it. However, the customer service has been excellent. Initially the wrong item was sent out (a pirate sword instead of cutlass). The company sent out a replacement straight away and allowed us to keep the wrong item as a good will gesture (which I thought was pretty darn nice as it would have been a hassle to send it back).
