First I want to mention that this scale (or at least my order) does not include the hard, plastic cover/tray as indicated in the description. For the low price of this scale, I can do without the plastic cover anyway. There are similar scales that cost about $5-$10 more that have the cover/tray if you really need one.I make pour-over coffees every day, and this scale is perfect for that because it accurately weighs my poured water AND shows the time elapsed (stop-watch timer) so I don't over or under brew the coffee. The silicone mat is great for protecting the scale and is easy to clean. Besides being a useful coffee tool, the scale also is a conversation piece for when I make coffee for friends and family because I explain why I'm weighing and timing.If you're a coffee enthusiast that wants to weigh coffee beans/grounds & water and time your brew, this is a great, affordable scale. I ended up buying another similar scale but with the plastic cover/tray.

Scale is good looking and easy to read. However, I am using it weigh espresso shots as I pull them. It does NOT update weight correctly. Sometimes it will display a weight change but usually doesn’t. It’s fine if you just use it for food or something where you put a lot of weight on it at once. But a trickle stream of espresso doesn’t register even after 25g. It’s terrible for this usage case.

Timer stopped working three months after I got it. It's cheaply built and, I guess cheap quality too.

There's a stopwatch function, but it's not useful unless you want to stand there watching it. You cannot set the time and countdown. No beep to let you know when time is up. So, pretty useless. Next time I plan to buy one with an actual timer.

Purchased for weighing coffee beans pre and post grind (in portafilter for espresso). There is a slight <1s delay in the weight when dumping beans into my weighing cup and I may go about .2g over. Easy enough to pick out beans and drop them in 1 at a time until the number is where I want it. The scale seems precise, and for me that's mainly what I'm concerned with. I haven't put any calibration weights on it to test it's accuracy, but it's "around" where I've been on my previous scales. As long as I can reproduce the same espresso shots/grinds/bean weight I'm happy, and this scale does that.The timer is a timer.

Hard to believe the value of this scale at this price point. The timer works great and easy to start and stop. Scale does increment by 0.1/0.2g. Mostly accurate from what I can tell. The reading does tend to float after awhile, not sure what is the cause but definitely amazing value for a 0.1gram scale. I have been using it every day for brewing my pour over coffee the past few weeks.

it's not fancy, in fact feels a little cheap but works just fine and I use it daily. coffee is good. 5 stars.

This item is already broken. It seemed cheaply done when I received it but decided to give it a go. Sometimes it was finicky about hitting the button to zero out. Maybe that was a sign to return it before the cut-off. I’m going to be getting a name brand next time. They may honor a longer warranty should the product fail within just a few short months.
