Live in Liverpool

This is one of three DVD's available on the Shadows. Live in Liverpool , shows the Shadows at their best. Featuring all the hits, Apache, FBI, wonderful Land . The famous "Shadow Walk" is prevelant in this DVD. I had this on Video . But this particular DVD is 0 region so it can be played on USA region 1 DVD players. This is a must for all Shows fans , but more so for those who have never seen The Shadows perform. Purchase this with The Shadows Final concert also on DVD and can be played on Region 1 players as well.

Great show! Easy to tell these guys have been together for decades. 5 starts for the Shadows. ONE star for the production. I can live with the grainy video and very lack luster editing of the footage - but the sound mix isn't good and not hot on the disc. I have to turn up my amp to where the tubes are humming just to get a descent audio feed. The audio problems could be corrected by remastering the disc. Interestingly - the clips of this show on youtube sound ok.

The recording of this concert is not good. Sound system were intermittent. I expect it to be a enjoyable Live Concert.

I have had this selection on an old VHS tape for ages, very pleased to find it released on dvd. Only one track is missing from the original VHS copy and that was unfortunately one of my favourites " Hello Mr Wam ". Great value for money for any Shads fans. Plenty of their hits,couple of not so usual ones plus a great version of Booker T's Time Is Tight which has not appeared on many other albums / DVD's, would highly recommend it. Not a great deal been added to the dvd in the way of extra's, but what the hell I bought it for the concert / music.

Very Much same routine as the EMI Dvd released 2000/Vhs tape from 80s but this dvd is very much a better choice the guys have fun doing Time Is Tight, Booker T MGs instrumental EMI release has Seven video selections on it, this DVD has 15 video selections on it good quality last 60 minutes it is a region set 0 dvd worldwide playback but be sure has ntsc is displayed on package, most very modern dvd players will play it....

Great to see them again on dvd. Great music great musicians just fabulous. Love them.

If you like the shadows you will enjoy this. All the favourites plus some recent material as well. Good sound quality and quite intimate concert.
